Virginia Council carries significant presence on the International level as well, most recently producing the 85th Grand Aleph Shaliach, Saul Brodsky, and leading the International Order in Summer 2012 with four summer program coordinators - more than any other Region or Council in the entire International order.

Virginia Council BBYO #56 is the slightly smaller council of the two which comprimise Eastern Region (the other being North Carolina Council). Virginia Council consists of eight chapters - 4 BBG, 3 AZA, and 1 BBYO - and about 235 members of the over 600 in Eastern Region.

Two areas of Virginia primarily compromise the council - Tidewater (Virginia Beach/Norfolk) and Richmond.
