Virginia Council BBYO #56 is the slightly smaller council of the two which comprimise Eastern Region (the other being North Carolina Council , consisting of around 235 members (of the 600 in Eastern)and consisting of eight chapters.

Two areas of Virginia primarily compromise the council - Tidewater (Virginia Beach/Norfolk) and Richmond.
