The Jayatsu Vee is a car currently in development with Jayatsu Motors and Richards Motor Company. The Jatatsu Vee will be powered by an all new Jayatsu inline four engine currently known as the jFour.

In early 2009, Jayatsu announced that they would be introducing a completely new car for 2010. The car would be the Jayatsu Vee and would replace the So Car at the end of 2009.
In May 2009, Jayatsu announced that the all new Jayatsu Vee will be delayed until at least late 2010. Production of the So Shi-Tei will still end of 2009. Jayatsu says it is currently redesigning the current So Car and will introduce the updated version in late 2009 as the Jayatsu Vee. The 2011 Vee has been remaned to the Vee2 will may be on sale sometime in 2011.

The RMC Ex is the North American version of the Jayatsu Vee. The RMC Ex was announced by RMC in March 2009.

In 2008, it was announced that So Motors was working on an electric version of their So Car. The new car was called the So EC-1.
In 2009, Jayatsu renamed their electric car from the So EC-1 to the Jayatsu EC. Jayatsu also announced that production of the the So Car will end in 2009 and will be replaced with the Jayatsu Vee. In March, it was announced that the Jayatsu EC will be based off the Jayatsu Vee more than the So Car.

In early 2009, a partnership was made between So Motors and Richards Motor Company. The deal would let RMC sell the So EC-1 in North America. It was announced that the RMC Charge would only be sold in limited numbers. The RMC Charge is the North American version of the Jayatsu Ec. The RMC Charge will be sold under the Richards Motor Company brand.
