Innovations
Saturn was the first North American vehicle manufacturer to design their vehicles off of the Japanese.
Saturn was also the first manufacturer to introduce "dent resistant side paneling." This means the body of the car is made entirely out of cheap plastic instead of metal. This means if the car gets a dent, the dent will just pop back out. However, this worked against them when a car catches fire.
