It was the most expensive (costing $150 million) and longest commercial ever made (140 minutes). It was so popular that it resulted in several sequels.

At the begining of the commercial, the hero's car (Bumblebee) is a 1976 [[Chevrolet]] Camaro. However, part way through the movie, Bumblebee transforms into a 2010 Camaro Concept version. this was achieved by Bumblebee driving by and scanning the 2010 and transforming into it. Strange that at that particular time, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was driving by. A car that can not even be obtained by the general public legally until early 2009. This was 2007. Now either it takes place in 2010, or some GM staff member was taking the concept for a drive. Oh wait... it was a commercial and those never make sense.
