It is a member of [[Virginia Council]] and thus [[Eastern Region]]. "DIB", as it is known, was founded c. January 1937 in honor of Dr. Israel Brown -- a widely praised Jewish member of the Virginia House of Delegates and Norfolk physician who, upon his death in 1928, was found to have saved and thereafter given much of his life's savings to charity. It has held a strong presence in the area for 75 years and is currently known throughout the region as a strong chapter of Hitler supporters.
