The Rocket Launcher has appeared in every TimeSplitters game so far (not to mention most FPS's). It has very powerful explosive shots that can kill a player in one shot, although robots can endure more damage from rockets before succumbing. The secondary fire shoots three rockets at once, which dispatches robots faster. In TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, you can set your rocket launcher to automatic and shoot six rockets at once, but the reloading time is slower.
Europe, France, Japan, North America and Korea's Box Art

Timesplitters 2 is the second game in the Timesplitters series, published in October 11, 2002, by Eidos, for the Nintendo GameCube and Xbox in addition to the Playstation 2, which TimeSplitters 1 was exclusive to. It received a rating of T from the ESRB and a 15+ rating. The game has 10 story missions starring Sergeant Cortez and Corporal Hart as they attempt to stop the TimeSplitters from destroying history.

This game ends with a cliff-hanger ending followed by TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, which is a direct sequel to this game, released in 2005, that starts off right when TimeSplitters 2 ends.

New Features
*The MapMaker in this game gives the player the ability to create story missions in addition to arcade levels.
*Up to 16 players can play via i.Link or LAN network.
*There are over 125 characters available in Arcade mode.
*There is an Arcade League mode (which is very similar to TimeSplitters 2's Challenge mode).
*Each Arcade character has set statistics varying from speed, stamina, and many more.

Story
The game starts in the year 2401 when Sergeant Cortez and Corporal Hart are sent to a TimeSplitter infested space station where a time portal is being built. Their objective is to retrieve the Time Crystals. However, before they can reach them, the TimeSplitters take them into different time periods of the past. They must be followed and the time crystals retrieved.

Unlike the original TimeSplitters, each level in story mode contains objectives that must be completed before finishing the level. Also, the objectives depend on the difficulty level selected, which can be either Easy, Medium, or Hard.

Like all the TimeSplitters games, story mode can be played co-op.

Arcade mode
Arcade mode is divided up into two parts: Arcade League and Arcade Custom.

Arcade League
The Arcade League allows the player to set their wits against a series of pre-set multiplayer matches. There are 3 leagues with 5 groups of 3 matches in each. Successful completion of a match will result in a trophy, coloured bronze, silver or gold depending on the criteria met. A silver and/or gold trophy is usually accompanied with new characters, arcade maps or cheats. In addition, a platinum trophy can also be earned for an outstanding performance in a match, but results in no additional reward. Each group is typically linked by a common theme. Any group can be selected from the start, but you must complete each match within a group to unlock the next in that group. At the beginning of the game, you will have access to only the Amateur League; completion of Amateur League matches will unlock the Honorary League, which in turn unlocks the Elite League when completed.

Arcade Custom
Arcade Custom is the main multiplayer mode of TimeSplitters 2. You can have up to 4 human-controlled characters and 10 bots. There is also a Network mode in TS2, which allows more than one console to be connected to each other for up to 16 players; however no bots are present in network games.

* Deathmatch- A Free-For-All. The individual with the most kills at the end, wins.
* Team Deathmatch- This is the same as the above except there can be up to 4 teams. The team with the most net kills wins..
* Capture the Bag- Two teams attempt to take the opposing teams' bag back to their base. The team with the most bag-captures wins.
* Bag Tag- There is a bag placed at a single point on the map. The player who holds possession of the bag for the longest time wins.
* Elimination- A Deathmatch in which each player has a limited number of lives. The last player standing wins.
* Shrink- A modified Deathmatch. Players with a lower ranking shrink in size, making them a harder target.
* Virus- One player starts the match with a non-damaging green fire and tries to spread the fire to as many people as they can. The last player standing wins.
* Flame Tag- Can be described as Bag Tag in reverse. The objective is to avoid the person on fire. The player who spent the smallest amount of time on fire wins.
* Vampire- A modified Deathmatch. Your character has a "Bloodlust" meter, which can only be replenished by killing other players. If the Bloodlust meter runs empty, your character dies.
* Leech- A modified Deathmatch. Shooting other players returns health to the attacker.
* Regeneration- A modified Deathmatch. Players' health regenerates at a slow rate.
* Thief- Kills do not count in this mode, but players drop special coins when killed, which must be collected. The player who collects the most coins wins.
* Gladiator- One player starts as the Gladiator, and only the Gladiator can get points for kills. Any normal player that kills the Gladiator becomes the Gladiator themselves.
* Zones- A series of zones are scattered around the map. Capturing zones gives the capturing team points. The team that scores the most points by capturing zones wins.
* Assault- The Red Team is tasked with completing certain objectives within a map, and the Blue Team must stop the Red Team from completing their objectives.
* Monkey Assistant- A modified Deathmatch. The player in last place has monkeys help him by attacking the player in first place.

Challenge mode
The Challenge Mode returns, but this time is accessible from the beginning of the game. As before, the objectives are to complete set challenges in the hope of a trophy (coloured as in the Arcade League) and reward. The said objectives can be anything from shooting the heads of zombies to collecting bananas. Again, the challenges are found in groups of three, typically linked by a common theme. Completion of challenges unlocks the next group and so forth. Characters weapons, and maps can be rewarded for good performance as well. Gold trophies are needed to unlock the maximum characters for that specific mission.

Trivia
*The first level of the game, that takes place in Sibera, is based on the first level of Goldeneye 007; both levels take place in a Russian dam. This is because Free Radical, the company that developed this game, is made up of people that previously worked for Rare and made Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64.
*The Arcade Level, "But Where do the Batteries Go?" is a possible parody of the last episode of series 3 of Red Dwarf, in which the line "But where do all the calculators go?" is used frequently"
*TimeSplitters 2 was featured in the 2004 movie Shaun of the Dead. The Streets level and the Chicago level can clearly be seen being played. Free Radical paid them back by having the character Clip Clamp in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect murmur a line from Shaun of the Dead when being picked to be played.
*This is the only TimeSplitters game to receive a 9.1 from IGN.

post = For an admin, a user page allows one to identify who is a regular contributor, who knows the mediawiki format well, who can type proper english and who can read instructions- depending on what their user page looks like. It also allows people to contact the user by faster means like email or instant messaging. A user who has a well designed userpage is more likely to be a regular contributor, and/or knows mediawiki/has good thinking skills to work out stuff.

The general purpose of a user page is to identify yourself really, it's a bit like a user profile on a forum. A user page is not enssential unless you're an Admin (although I encourage contributors to have a user page). User pages must be related to the user and timesplitters.
Christian Marcussen

EA CD it own:

Christian Marcussen is a musician from Denmark who composed most of the soundtrack for TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

Involvement With TimeSplitters Online Community
Christian Marcussen has been known to make occasional posts on the Music Box message boards, usually in threads concerning the music he contributed to TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. On the Music Box Forums, he has hinted that he may be working on the music for Haze.

Marcussen was also interviewed by F-Rott from Planet TimeSplitters in 2004.

Plans For marcussenmusic.com
Marcussen eventually plans to offer music from the TimeSplitters games, as well as cutscenes from TimeSplitters: Future Perfect on his website. He released a mock-up of his plans for the site, viewable here.

Reception
A lot of people prefer Graeme Norgate's music to Marcussen. However, this is because Marcussen was forcefully forced by Free Radical Design to make cinematic music instead of Norgate's style music. Marcussen begged to try to recreate music sounding similar to how Norgate would make (which he could easily do), but his requests were turned down.
Mission Failure

EA CD it own:

Mission Failure is an event that occurs when you lose on a level.

Levels that it can happen on include Story mode, Challenge mode, and Arcade League. For it to happen, the player's character must either lose all of his/her health points, fall off a bottomless chasm, or possibly fail an objective.

When the screen is displayed, you are given the option to either restart the level (possibly from the nearest checkpoint) or exit the game. On the screen, you can sometimes view other menus such as the list of objectives that you completed and failed to complete, the number of points each character earned, or the briefing.

Soundtrack
When the Mission Failure screen appears, somewhat drastic music begins playing. The music continues to play for six minutes. After about two or three minutes, noises are made that resemble noises of some sort of monster. When furtherly analyzed, the noises are actually voices slowed down.

Sublimal Messages
Since the strange monster-like sounds are actually voices slowed down, it is implied that speeding the sound up would transform the noises to sound somewhat normal. Once done, the phrases "Stay right where you are" and "Good Lord!" have been claimed to be vaguely heard.

Some also hypothesize that playing the sound backwards would translate it into messages, also.

Mistakes
A mistake is heard at the end of the soundtrack when a woman (most likely from Free Radical) says "Is that too loud?"

Improvements over the original TimeSplitters
*The MapMaker in this game gives the player the ability to create story missions in addition to arcade levels.
*Levels in Story mode now include based objectives that the player must accomplish in order to complete the level. Also, there is a somewhat coherent story.

Arcade mode
Arcade mode features yourself trying to beat your enemies. You can have up to 4 human-controlled characters and 10 bots. You unlock nothing, but things unlocked are for this mode. There is also a Network mode in TS2, which allows more than one console to be connected to each other for up to 16 players; however no bots are present in network games.

Modes
* Deathmatch- Every man for himself. The player with the most kills at the end of the game wins.
* Team Deathmatch- A Deathmatch with players divided into teams. The team with the most kills wins.

Gold trophies are needed to unlock the maximum charcters for that specific mission.

Free Radical payed them back by having the character Clip Clamp in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect murmer a line from Shaun of the Dead when being picked to be played.

Mission Failure

EA CD it own:

If on any level, you fail to accomplish the specified objectives or your health equals zero, the Mission Failure screen appears which allows you to either retry the level or quit the game. It is accompanied by very "in-Your-Face" music that has a very good beat until about mid-way through the music. Then, what appears to be some sort of monster starts growling while the music volume is lowered. When thoroughly analyzed, it is found out that the noises are actually voices with their speeds incredibly slowed down.

Sublimal messages
Since the voices are incredibly slowed down, when their speed is increased, it is hypothesized that the mysterious "monster growls" will sound more human.

A man claimed that he increased the speed by 300% and heard that it was a male voice saying "Stay right where you are" and "Good Lord!" These claims have yet to be proved by another source.

Reverse play
Some players claim that the voices aren't slowed down; they are actually played backwards. This implies that playing the sounds in reverse would make the sounds sound normal.

Some hyphothesize that when played backwards, the "monster growls" actually are Satanic messages encouraging the player to worship Satan. These claims have yet to be disproven as no one has dared play the music backwards.

Is that too loud?
At the end of the Mission Failure music, a woman asking, "Is that too loud?" is heard. This is likely a mistake by Free Radical though it could also be a clever feature added to the game to scare players (in addition to the mysterious noises (see above).

Challenge mode
The Challenge Mode returns, but this time is accessible from the beginning of the game. As before, the objectives are to complete set challenges in the hope of a trophy (coloured as in the Arcade League) and reward. Again, the challenges are found in groups of three, typically linked by a common theme. Completion of challenges unlocks the next group and so forth. Characters weapons, and maps can be rewarded for good performance as well. Gold trophies are needed to unlock the maximum charcters for that specific mission.

Trivia
*The first level of the game, that takes place in Sibera, is based on the first level of Goldeneye 007; both levels take place in a Russian dam.
Free Radical payed them back by having the character Clip Clamp in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect murmer a line from Shaun of the Dead when being picked to be played.

The game has 10 story missions starring Sergeant Cortez and Corporal Hart as they attempt to stop the (Race) from destroying history.

This game ends with a cliff-hanger ending followed by TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, which is a direct sequel to this game, released in 2005, that starts off right when TimeSplitters 2 ends.

Improvements over the original TimeSplitters
*The MapMaker in this game gives the player the ability to create story missions in addition to arcade levels.
*Levels in Story mode now include based objectives that the player must accomplish in order to complete the level. Also, there is a somewhat coherent story.

As of now, I'm just trying to fill out the uncreated Arcade League and Challenge articles for TS2 right now, I'll do the TS1 stuff later.

Plans for the Future Perfect! ;D
Everybody who has done their user pages has a neat picture in their pages and I want one too! But I'm gonna make my own! I'll try doing a K like Nintendo's official Nintendo 64 Logo, you know, that 3-D N logo! I'm gonna do a K like that, it will stand for Koopa64, along with the words, "Koopa64" across it! :D

Yes
I decided to take do what you said and create an account afterall. I was the one at GmaeFAQs called ACBIem132 (I think I misspelled it)

Thank you very much for joining the crew. Don't forget to write up a User Page and a User Talk Page, it helps everyone know who you are. :)

And yes, you misspelled it. As far as I know, your user name is spelled "*censored*", correct?

Btw, how could you misspell your own User Name?!

::Maybe I will write up a user/talk page.
::Yes, you spelled it correctly. I mispelled it on purpose for private reasons.. ;> -EA CD it own 19:04, 7 July 2007 (EDT)
