The best Green Lantern who formally had an orange bowl-cut. Has a hot temper, which is ironic because he fucked Ice. He is mainly awesome, and known for the "One Punch" incident with Batman. Still doesn't like Bats to this very day.

Currently he's the leader of the Green Lantern Corps Honor Guard... which basically means he's their special forces/SWAT officer. Former member of Justice League International, with connections to Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. Buddies with Kyle Rayner and Kilowog. Will hit on most anything female, even Mary Marvel.

Originally featuring the duo of Oracle and the Black Canary, the BoP expanded to include Huntress and a few other characters before, in issue 100, Black Canary quit to chair the Justice League, and Oracle vastly expanded the team to include nearly every single female character in the DCU not already on one. (Although, of course, not every character on team would be sent out on the same mission at once.)

Was first written by Chuck Dixon, then Gail Simone, and is going through a brief period of guest writing by Tony Bedard before being passed to Sean McKeever and then back to Bedard again.
Justice League

Greasealease:

DC's most famous group of superheroes, appearing in various forms (with equally varying rosters) throughout the ages to fight threats to Earth, or to fight for dickery, depending on who's in charge. Notable members of the Justice League include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman (the so called "Big 3") Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, the Flash and Aquaman.

After the events of Countdown to Infinite Crisis, the League has broken up. A new series is starting up in the summer.

The Justice League first made it to TV in the hideously embarassing Superfriends cartoon.

Nearly 30 years later, Bruce Timm tried again with two connected series, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, themselves semi-sequels to his popular Superman and Batman cartoons. Both shows were popular with fans and unlike Superfriends, did not suck. Unfortunately, the declining popularity of the traditional superhero (which is either a sign of the times, the fault of manga and anime, or a backlash against dickery, depending on who you talk to) in America, particuarly amoung the 9-14 demographic the DCAU targeted, has led to its unfortunate cancellation.

No one ever said the viewing public had good taste.
Casstoons

Greasealease:

Casstoons is the name of a stripcomic, drawn by EspanolBot, and written by Drink, although other writers (such as Ing or Justin Carr) have contributed to it. It describes the diverse misadventures of Cassandra Cain, the third Batgirl, and Tim Drake, the third Robin, the vast majority of those dealing with the recent editorial decision of DC to make Cass evil.

In a moment of rage following the release of Robin #150, where that storyline began, Drink and Espanolbot, notorious members of the Cass Cult, made a small strip where Cass rips DiDio's face off. If you ask almost anyone, he deserved it.

After this first try, the two members continued to make strips about that editorial decision, always giving Cassandra Cain the major role. Soon, the strips diverged to include other DC characters (and more recently Marvel and Vertigo ones) and to concentrate on other storylines, not necessarily linked to Cass and Tim. The two characters, however, always appear in the strips.

Most characters in the Casstoons are either parodies or caricatures of their comic versions. For example, Hal Jordan is extremely offensive towards women and minorities, and Iron Man is portrayed with a Martini in hand, a jab at his past as an alcoholic. Cass herself has committed ann increasingly horrific series of murders in her desperation to become 'good' again.

The Casstoons have also produced a daughter comic of sorts featuring Booster Gold in addition to Cass, produced entirely by HotAndCold, who usually uses the comic to express her rage at the handling of Booster in 52.

Casstoons became the most important attraction of the Cass Cain appreciation thread in a matter of weeks. It has also been successfully presented to the official DC message boards and other noteable forums.

Characters and People that have appeared in the Casstoons
Main Characters

Cassandra Cain- The most recent Batgirl. Was turned evil after OYL with no logic involved, and in a fit of rage ripped off DC Editor Dan DiDio's face. Thus began Cass's adventures in Casstoons, as she desperately tries to become good again, find steady work, or just survive sharing an apartment with Tim Drake. She is one of the few who can see the absurdity around her and is often the voice of reason. She is also the Pope of the Catholic Church and the Boxing Champion of the World.

Tim Drake- The current Robin, and a womanizing dick. Despite his less than pleasant personality he is still usually seen associating with Cass, and she even let him move in her apartment after Damien took over Wayne Manor. He is currently dating Cassie Sandsmark, Rose Wilson, and Mia Dearden (Despite her HIV), often all at once. Tim Drake doesn't like country music.

Stephanie Brown- Cass's best friend and former costumed hero the Spoiler. Was killed senselessly in the War Games crossover, but Cass made a pseudo-alive scarecrow replica of Stephanie, inspired by 52. She was revived briefly when Tim dabbled in dark magic, then permanently by Death itself. She now lives with Cass and Tim and shares their adventures. She's dating the revived Superboy and works as a secret agent.

Reoccurring Characters

(In alphabetical order by last name...or code name. You should find who you're looking for under one or the other...)

Access- The guardian over the doorway to DC and Marvel. Access had a vendetta against Cass due to her liberal passage through the universes. Once successfully masqueraded as Evil Cass, which only worked due to Tim’s stupidity.

Adam Strange- Travels space with Animal Man and Starfire. Formerly blind and surly. No longer blind, but still surly.

Animal Man— “Cosmically aware” family man. Stays safe because he knows where his writer lives—and isn’t afraid to do a little mafia-style negotiating.

Arrowette- Sole Young Justice surviving member and possible bastard child of Green Arrow. She’s probably better off that way.

Batman- Ultimate Superhero. Has the uncanny powers of forgetting his female sidekicks and kidnapping children. He only acknowledges that Batgirl exists when someone mentions her; he's forgotten Spoiler entirely.

Batwoman- She's a lesbian, in case you didn't hear. In fact, it's almost all she ever says. Kinda like a Pokemon.

Beast Boy- Former Teen Titans who hangs out with the main characters. Cass often injures him in one way or another. Slade did Terra in his bed. Drummer of Tim’s band, as an Octopus.

Adam Beechen- The writer who did the story in which Cass went evil. For his own safety, he is rarely shown in the same panel as Cass. He's a rabid Tim Drake fanboy and in all his stories Tim wins by miraculous duex ex machina--even if Tim was not a main character.

Black Canary- Bird of Prey and Cass's friend. Bastardized by Winick back into a damsel in distress.

Brain and Monsiour Mallah- A living brain in a jar. A super-intelligent French gorilla. OTP.

Booster Gold— Money loving superhero from the future. All the ladies think he has a glorious ass. He was briefly replaced by a Cablinasian hermaphrodite and forced to wear a barrel.

David Cain- Cass's dad. Obsessed with breeding his daughter with eligible bachelors.

Captain Marvel- His "Wisdom of Solomon" has been on the fritz lately.

Captain Marvel Jr.— Bassist of Tim’s band eternally stuck in the fifties. Now undergoing magical trials that make him forget everybody he cares about.

Catman— A little too friendly with Deadshot, if you know what I mean. Member of the Secret Six.

John Constantine- Chainsmoking English magician. Appears occasionally in Casstoons that involve the occult in some fashion. Currently shagging Zatanna.

Damian/Ibn Al Xu'ffacsh- The bastard son of Batman. Possibly the Anti-Christ.

Dan DiDio- Main Editor and essentially the "God" of DC. After he dictated that Batgirl turn evil Cass tore his face off in pure rage. Thanks to some post-reconstructive surgery, he has been reborn as Dankor, based on the villain from Prince of Space. He loves Lesbians and hates the nineties and fun. He also has Diversity Vision.

Linda Danvers— The “Good” Supergirl.

Darkseid- New God. Got his hand broke during Handshake with Cass (Much to her own disbelief).

Deadpool- Merc with the Mouth and Cass's neighbor at her apartment complex. The two have become friends and often go on adventures together, whether to another dimension or just down to the Pizza Joint on the corner. Often has madcap and nonsensical adventures with the new Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes.

Deadshot— A little too friendly with Catman, if you know what I mean. Member of the Secret Six.

Mia Dearden— The current Speedy. She has HIV, though it doesn’t seem to affect her or anybody she sleeps with at all. One of Tim’s girlfriends and a former Titan.

Death- Goth and guide to recently deceased souls. Has given Hal and Ollie a free ticket to come back to life after they groped her. Also revived Steph.

Deathstroke- Slade Wilson. Pedophile and leader of the Titans East. He is older than dust. In the CassToons he wears his costume from The Teen Titans Animated series. Because black is a lot cooler than blue scale male.

Ralph Dibny & Dr. Fate helmet- Stretchy hero who's out of his goddamn mind and helmet of a dead hero who he talks to. Turns out he was never insane and now he’s dead and we all feel bad. Solves mysteries with his Ghost Wife, Sue.

Dr. Light- Rapist who was banished to the Shadow realm by the Shade, then raped by Supergirl. He then turned himself in after the ironic rape.

Duela Dent- Lunatic that's possibly the daughter of a supervillain, and member of Titans East. Was killed off after Titans East but somehow survived and attended her own funeral. Likes to pull practical jokes with Jason Todd.

Enigma- The Riddler's Daughter. Nobody knows anything about her. Or cares really. Member of Titans East.

Evil Cass- The version of Cass that appeared in Robin. Is either wearing a "Lil' Shiva" outfit or a Batgirl cowl with a monocle and glowing red eyes. While evil, she isn't particularly bright, despite her wordiness. Quite possibly a schizophrenic fractured personality of Cass.

Boba Fett- Bounty Hunter and acquaintance of Cass.

The Flash- Was Bart Allen, formerly Impulse, who was ludicrously emo. He died, and was replaced by the guy he replaced, Wally West. yeah, it makes no sense to me either.

Forerunner- Intergalactic Mary-Sue from Countdown.

Talia al Ghul- Daughter of the dead immortal R'as al Ghul and frustrated mother of Damien, the possible Anti-Christ. Like most superhero/supervillain parents, she has to deal with her child being constantly kidnapped, though in this case they usually bring Damien right back cause...well, he's Damien.

Green Arrow- Man-Whore and Commie Pinko extrordinaire. Waits till they're 18-unless they're an alien.

The Goddamn Batman- A harder, meaner, drinkinger and Goddamner version of Batman from the 80's. A new issue of his book is put out once a year. He has stubble and likes to eat rats. Once killed by Deadpool (through subterfuge and with help from DiDio) but mysteriously ressurected off-panel. His day job is working at a day care center for the children of superpersons.

The Goddamn Wonder Woman— Hates all men. Or anybody who likes men. Except for when she randomly kisses Superman. At least she’s a woman Miller has written who’s not a whore though!

Barbara Gordon- Formerly Batgirl, currently Oracle. Although surly at times (particularly when dressed as a Dalek), she's Cass's surrogate sister. Believed to secretly worship the Old Ones. Currently dating Ted Kord, the dead Blue Beetle.

Gorilla Grodd— Is not amused by hugs.

Henchie- Cass's Henchman. Mainly used in menial chores. Despite Ninja outfit, he's British. He accidentally went to Oz in a hot air balloon trip gone wrong, and now works as a talent agent for comic characters.

Henchman X- The evil version of Henchie

Jonah Hex- Western Bounty Hunter displaced from time by Cass.

Hippolyta- Queen of the Amazons. Attacking America for irrational reasons that can only be explained as Editorial Mandate. Could be persuaded to stop for Hostess Cakes.

Road Hogg- A pig/human type thing, this past character from Cass's series crashed at her place, only to start living with Supergirl after a backfired rape attempt.

Huntress- Bird of Prey and Cass's friend. They often drink Tea together and discuss current events.

Inertia- Bart Allen's nemesis and clone, and a member of Titans East. Has a slight crush on Cass but now dates Sungirl.

Iron Man- Drunken Womanizer and advocate for Superhero registration. Put Cass in charage of the Kansas Initiative.

Geoff Johns— Overworked DC writer. He’s sometimes portrayed as gleefully following DiDio’s orders to sometimes sympathizing with the characters. Recently had his face ripped off by Kyle Rayner, though it is most likely not permanent.

Hal Jordan- The foremost Green Lantern, the Halmeister gets by on his rugged good looks and his 50's style charm. In reality, he's a racist Man-Whore who hasn't got with the times.

Bette Kane- Technically a former Batgirl (Although most won't admit it), Cass repeatedly exacts revenge on this poor doofus to make herself feel better. Apparently immortal.

The Kansas Initiative— Consists of Jay the Jayhawk, Willy the Wildcat, and WuShock, all inept mascots. One of the reserve members is Glinda the Good Witch.

Kid Crusader- Formerly Choirboy, member of Titans East. Fanatic religious nut. Has helped Cass on several occasions but mostly enjoys smiting Kid Devil.

Kid Devil- Member of the Teen Titans. One of few non-fanatical Catholics in comics. Unfortunately he only became religious after selling his soul to the devil. Still better off than Nightwing.

Knockout— Big breasted bisexual member of the Secret Six.

The resurrected corpse of Blue Beetle, Ted Kord- With Band-Aid on head. Currently dating Barbara Gordon.

Selina Kyle- The first Catwoman. Likes to sleep with her boyfriends' sons. Mad at DiDio for giving her a baby without Bruce as its father. Hey, she should be happy! I mean, look how Damien turned out!

Lady Shiva- Cass's mum. Will beat up anybody who besmirches her daughter’s honor. And occasionally she’ll beat up her daughter too.

The League of Cass Villains- A group of mediocre villains that Cass faced: Rigor Mortis- A stiffened corpse, Miss Fire- A near sighted pyrokinetic, and Gelatin Man- The name pretty much describes him, but he's Scottish.

Stan Lee- Oddly enough, was bald in his first appearance, than had hair in subsequent appearances

Lobo- Fraggin' Bastitch who was Cass's rival for the Pope-hood. After a vicious Holy War they came to a truce.

Love Cass- A robotic nymphomaniac version of Cass in a bikini and an increased bustline. A world famous porn star and able to outsex every last Doombot.

The Mad Hatter— Loves hats. Sexually. Former member of the Secret Six.

Mary Marvel- Sweet, innocent, naive and doesn't know what a lesbian is. Of course that means in the DiDioverse she has to be corrupted and seduced.

Greasealease:

Ralph Dibny, superhero alias the Elongated Man. Really, it's no wonder he decided to have a public identity. Gains his stretchy powers by drinking concentrated extract of Gingold (not Gingold soda, guys). His detectiving skills are second only to Batman's. He was a member of Justice League Europe.

He's married to Sue Dibny, who was murdered by Jean Loring and retcon-raped by Dr. Light in the Identity Crisis mini. As a result, Ralph became a starring character in 52, spending the first fourth of it pining, the second and third fourths of it somewhat batshit fucking loco, and the last fourth (or so) dead. Reunited with Sue in the afterlife, they became Ghost Detectives of Magical Going-Ons. Why nobody is writing a mini or ongoing or something about this yet, nobody knows.

Anybody spelling Dibny with an "e" in it officially looses their right to not get yelled at in all caps by HotAndCold. Why such an error sets her off so much, nobody is quite sure.

The Diary of Ralph Dibny is a satirical account of Ralph's shenanigans throughout 52. It is absolutely hilarious and a great read.
Superbuddies

Greasealease:

A pair of minis (technically, a mini and an arc in JLA: Classified, actually), Formerly Known as the Justice League and I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League, reuniting both the original creative team of and several characters from the Justice League International. Funded by Maxwell Lord, the team's line-up consisted of Captain Atom, Fire, Mary Marvel, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and Ralph Dibny, although Captain Atom quit the team following the events of the first mini and did not appear in the second one. Also featured were Ralph's wife, Sue, and the robot, L-Ron. Guest-starring in the second mini were Power Girl and Guy Gardner. Although it is generally liked by most casual readers, it has earned the ire of some avid fans by being either stagnation or regression of character for all involved. It was supposed to be out-of-continuity, as evidenced by numerous contradictions of canon, but The Powers That Be have declared it to be canon, albeit with liberal time-punching involved.

A brief synopsis of both minis:
*Mary Marvel is just the cutest, sweetest little thing you ever did see, isn't she?
*Fire doesn't have the good sense to wear a fireproof costume
*Blue Beetle has a heart condition and, as a result, is pissy most of the time
*Booster Gold has married an old hag in hopes of inheritance. This has not prevented him from being a lech at any woman he sees. Also, he is a moron.
*Guy Gardner - See Booster Gold, but replace "married an old hag for inheritance" with "opened a bar with an ex-supervillain." (Of note: said supervillain is actually from the first arc of Booster Gold's first series, yet Booster doesn't recognize him at all. Why this is the case is not at all clear, and it drives HotAndCold absolutely nutters, because it's not like Giffen/DeMatteis could have found him anywhere else.)
*Ralph and Sue are adorably married
*L-Ron is a boot-licking lackey
*Pop culture references from 10-20 years ago can get old pretty quickly
*Captain Atom acts like this: B|
*Skeets does not exist

That's pretty much all there is, honestly.
Justice League Europe

Greasealease:

A spin-off of the popular mid-80's-early-90's Justice League title, Justice League International (which was renamed to Justice League America following the creation of the Europe league), Justice League Europe is notable for actually using the "International" idea instead of just having it as an excuse to send the Justice League all over the globe.

The JLE was originally situated in Paris, France. However, of the teams members at the time (Captain Atom, Power Girl, Wally West, Rocket Red #4, Ralph Dibny, Animal Man, and Metamorpho), only Rocket Red was not an American and only he and Ralph actually spoke any French. Wonder Woman was supposed to be a member, but turned out to be far too busy in her own title to ever actually appear more than once or twice within the pages of JLE. If only this could apply to Wolverine or Batman. This was sort of fixed a little bit by the introduction of the Crimson Fox to the team later, and eventually the team moved to the embassy in London, anyway.

Greasealease:

Extremely popular Justice League title from the mid-80's-early-90's, written by Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis. Host to such excellent artists as Kevin Maguire and Adam Hughes. Created the spin-off title Justice League Europe.

JLI is known for its comedic value, despite having a few very good serious arcs and issues to its name. It set up the (in)famous duos of Booster Gold & the Blue Beetle and Fire & Ice.

A popular conspiracy theory among comic fans is that the JLI has been cursed (or at least hated) by recent editorial, as there was a brief period of time where JLI members were dropping like flies.

Had a sequel in the form of the Superbuddies minis, Formerly Known as the Justice League and I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League (the latter of which was actually an arc in Justice League Classified).

Greasealease:

Because the Crisis on Infinite Earths only made things more confusing, DC comics created Zero Hour to try and wrap up loose ends.

Long story short- Hal Jordan goes insane, becomes Parallax, tries to redo time, Spectre kicks his ass.

Unfortunately, this didn't help, and only made fanboys more confused.
Time of changes

Greasealease:

It all started during May 2007. Schide and Josie broke up for the second time and Schide became very emo. Josie briefly left the board until PsychosesMan convinced her to come back.

Everything was fine for a while but mid-June, Schide left the board and made Bizarre, Drink and Espanolbot the new admins. Everyone ran around like headless chickens for a while, then the members started spamming, in hope of accomplishing... something? The Great War started and you could read more about it there if the lazyass original poster ever decided to finish the article.
The great war eventually ended and things went on as usual but without Schide.

During August, The Gray, a total fucknut and the latest in the line of board pariahs, broke out all over the boards. He created a lot of dumb and unneccessary threads, and a jillion threads where he could post his slashfics, fanfics, chick-flicks, nitpicks, shitsticks and dickpics.

On the 26th of August, TSI was made admin after jokingly suggesting to Schide he should get mod powers. Shortly after, Ryong, a poster of little to no importance, was retconned into nothing less than epic winnery when he said what a lot of people didn't have the balls to in his last post. Suddenly, a light went up for a lot of posters, including longtime posters The Goddamn and Draghignazzo, who left the board.

Bizarre's avatar. A photo of a baby hedgehog caught in the act of yawning, with a speech balloon and the word "blarg" superimposed. The original hedgehog did not speak, but after an odd tangent started by Bizarre centered around the word 'blarg,' a poor quality MS Paint speech balloon was scrawled onto a copy of the avatar by Minnesota President out of boredom. Bizarre got a laugh out of it, and made a vastly superior version, which became his avatar.

Briefly stolen by Wussycat who removed the "blarg" and replaced it with "cock goes where?", thus earning the ire of nearly the entire board. Numerous times, Virgil would comment on how it looked like it was saying "Cock goes where?!" and no one hated him for it. Which once again proves my theory: No one can stay mad at Virgil for long. Except Torrent, who can stay mad at people for upwards of ten years.

It has since been revealed that the blarghog is named Pascal. Rumors of him being a Spanish hooker are unfounded.
Superdickery water

Greasealease:

As they say about the forums, "there's something in the water."

Whether it is the effect of a gathering of nerds, the rather lax standards of morality and appropriateness on the forums or simply the erotic effect of silver age comic covers, there is something in the "water" of the Superdickery forums which breeds romance and lust.

It started with the pairing known as "The Virgi" - the coupling of Virgil and his supposed sockpuppet Virgie. There was an aww factor, until it was revealed that the separate deviancy and general disgusting-ness of these two was not lessened by their relationship, but bolstered.

The second relationship began between forum mainstay Ykari and relative newcomer Bizarre, after he was enamoured of Ykari's sense of humour and knowledge of the Final Fanstasy series. Bizarre maintains that his pursuit of Ykari's affection was "subtle like the ninja," despite being constantly reminded of the thread he created entitled "Ykari rocks! I think I'm in e-wuv..." The relationship was first known as Bennifer, but this was abandoned due to silliness. Officially, they are now "The 'Ens."

The third Superdickery couple was forum mod-cum-admin Schide and resident staunch conservative Josie. In all honesty, there isn't much you can say about the history of this couple, as their annoucement came completely out of left field. Nostradamus didn't see these two coming. Virgil did though, as he was the one who hooked them up.

The fourth couple is the forum's Godfather of Batch and general arsehole DarkGob and resident Simpsons fanatic and representative of Terra Australis Louise. The catalyst for their pairing was Bizarre, the now self-styled forum e-Cupid. Many have commented on the change that has occurred in the two, with Louise more readily displaying her "shady" side, and Gob losing his characteristic contempt for existence in general. The concept of DarkGob having a girlfriend has been stated as proof, at various times, that:

a) Mike is God.

b) There is no God.

c) Satan is now buying winter clothes and booking skiing lessons.

The fifth and latest couple is one of relative newcommers Wonderfish and Skippy. One's the head of the cult of blue beetle. The other is Irish. Obviously nothing bad can come of this. Threepwood is claiming the e-cupid title for this one because it was his relationship drama that led to this whole thing starting.

Now that the power of Superdickery Water has revealed itself, it seems that Bizarre is intent on exploiting it for everything he can, with several projects in the works. This is believed to be part of a sinister plot to eventually hook up everyone on the entire boards, and possibly the entire geek world.

As the boards are predominantly male, this plan will clearly involve yaoi at some point.

And as to WHAT is in the water, Ykari continues to maintain that somebody drowned Poison Ivy in the water. Oh those darn pheremones.

RadiationHazard has been continually thwarted by the water. It hasn't embittered him, though... well maybe it has.

Threep has also been thwarted by the water. It has made him apathetic, and he attempted to buy some forget-me-nows to put in there, but apathy overtook him, so he pursues romance off the board.
Australia

Greasealease:

The land of sexy accents and strange animals.

Australia is home to some of the deadliest animals in the world, although it does not contain the two deadliest (Which are the swordfish and a leech that sucks out your blood and replaces it with a highly fatal poison as it does so)

Many Australian animals have simple analogues in other continents, yet those animals, despite being what is basically the same species, are nowhere near as deadly as the Australian ones. It is to be assumed that Australian creatures had to quickly evolve highly deadly means of attack, in order to ward off the criminal scum that first occupied the island.

Australians have a tendency to kill off their endangered species with little or no care about them, until they are extinct. They also have a very cheap fine ($5,000 Australian) for killing animals that are supposed to be extinct. Such as the Thylacine.

Australia coined "A dingo ate my baby!" While this was believed to be bullshit at the time, it was eventually found out to be true.

Australia gets majorly gipped when it comes to technology. Their region encoded DVD players come from Japan, while all of their DVDs come from America. This means they can't play their DVDs on the DVD players they have to buy.

Australia has proven to be of vital strategic importance in warfare, as long as you are playing RISK. Other than that, it was pretty useful for the Allied forces in the Pacific theatre during World War II.

Australia spends far too much money on military initatives. This makes no sense. Australia is far too large to easily be safeguarded, especially when the island's low population is taken into account. Luckily, it is of no strategic advantange, unless you are in World War II, playing RISK, or are a member of the Penguin Army, slowly trying to take over the world.

Australia is the number one country when it comes to overreacting to inappropriate media, followed closely by New Zealand. While North America deems sexual content as inappropriate, and Europe deems violence to be inappropriate, Australia considers both of those inappropriate. As well as depictions of crime, showing the history of crime, and numerous other things. Like in most countries, swearing is A-OK.

Australia has an odd fixation with American news and politics. They even do live coverage of the American presidential election. It has been theorized that this is Australia's subtle way of saying it would like to be annexed by the US, as long as they get to keep their state names and such. Which would mean that Alaska would no longer be the largest state. An annexation would solve many problems for Australia, such as getting rid of that stupid region encoding problem, and also giving them an actual military with which to protect themselves. Unfortunately, it would cause a few more problems for the country/continent, as being part of the US means they are part of the Great Satan. Luckily, it is not likely for a terrorist attack to occur there, due to that whole strategic importance thing. Australia's annexation would also cause problems for Americans, as they would have no idea what to call the aborigines.
Japan

Greasealease:

Origin of the Name
Japan is a small island country that's located near the Sea of Japan. While you might think that the Sea of Japan is named after Japan, that isn't true. The Sea of Japan is named after a mispronuciation of the country's actual name. The island of Japan was named after a British rock group.

Perverted Level
Japan is notorious for having the largest amounts of perverts per capita in the entire world. Actually, if you seperated Japan into its four main islands, and used those instead of the actual country, the top 5 countries would be Hokkaido (Japan), Honshu (Japan), Kyushu (Japan), Germany, and Shikoku (Japan)

Why Japan is perverted
Japan's pervertedness is easily explained. Honshu is shaped like an otter, Hokkaido looks like some weird mess of stuff, but also looks like a stingray if you look at it the right way. Kyushu looks like a malformed Africa, and Shikoku looks like a turd.

All in all, it looks like one of two things:

An otter that just took a shit while vomitting, and being chased by a Chibi Africa.

A large ass stingray is being chased by a gigantic otter, which shits itself in fright as the entire continent of Africa chases it.

That's about twelve or thirteen fetishes right there, each of which has an actual term used to describe it, as well as mixtures of the other fetishes present.

Technology
Japan's technology is amazingly advanced. They make video games that last for hours on end, and have excellent graphics. Unfortunately those games are mostly text, with the occasional excellent graphic kind-of-moving in the background.

They are also great at producing CGI movies, and also short films to put into their video games while text isn't being displayed.

Japan has created excellent 3D films, such as Appleseed (The CGI one, not the regularly animated one), Final Fantasy: Advent Children, and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. While Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was created by people in Hawaii, a Japanese company sponsored them, so it is technically a Japanese creation. Proof of this is that the lead female character was drawn in a bikini to pose on the cover of a mens' magazine. Don't think that's proof? Well, apparently under the bikini she wasn't drawn as a mannequin, but rather as a fully anatomically correct woman. Considering how much trouble that'd take to re-model the character, it is most likely that all characters are anatomically correct under their clothing, and the animators whacked off to those numerous times.

A side note: The American team which was doing all the actual animation for the film made a recreation of Michael Jackson's Thriller music video, using only characters from the movie, and a background custom built for the music video. It's an easter egg in the DVD. Just be sure not to shove an actual Easter Egg into the DVD-ROM while trying to find it.

Unique architectual designs
Japan is renowned for trying to build large heavy things on water. For instance, they made an artificial island, and then put an airport on top. It is currently seeking.

Japan is also thinking about creating a super huge pyramid thing in Tokyo Bay, which would create an additional few thousand homes. Of course, most of the technology needed to build it is stuff that's only been theorized and not put into practical use, and half the homes would be destroyed if a tsunami hit.

Other Crap
Japan decided to modernize after an American sailed a whole lot of black steamboats over there, to show them how awesome technology is. The Japanese weren't as scared of the technology as they were of something that was colored black.

Japan has the second largest economy in the world. However, it is in depression, and has been for a decade or two. How the hell does that work?
