A forum member, known for being Finnish and a rather glum one at that. At the age of 27, he is also one of the forums older members. When he first came to the Superdickery Forums, GPL was hated by almost everyone, but he later worked his way to become more tolerated. Some people still find him annoying, because he is chronically depressed and a whiny bitch who writes annoyingly long posts. Also, his constant babbling about Finland pisses of Mess to no end, since Mess believes Finland doesn't exist except in GPL's imagination. Lately he's been a little less whiny about how his own life sucks and concentrated on whining about how some other board members suck and being generally a snarky bastard. Obviously this type of whininess is no less annoying.
GPL is hopelessly in love with Eegriega, which mostly shows in his tendency to go berserk whenever someone says something even remotely offensive to her. He also once made a secret Society around this symptom, which he named "The (Brotherhood of) Protectors of Eegriega's Virtue". He was essentially the only member.
GPL used to study business in a college, but recently dropped out after realising he wouldn't graduate. Now he's looking to get to University instead to study English or History or something. He would like to write for living or something. He currently very uncertain about everything in real life. Or something.
Guitar Playing Lad's username is a pun based on all kinds of Lads on superhero comics (especially the Matter Eating Lad) and his hobby of playing a guitar. In The S.U.T.M. game, GPL goes by the name The Wandering Minstrel.
Virgil has claimed that GPL is the second most attractive male member on the SD forums.
