[http://www.ealing.gov.uk/services/leisure/parks_and_open_spaces/find_a_park_or_open_space/acton.html Acton and Southfields parks] are two of Ealing's green spaces. Southfields is more properly a recreation ground, and has playing fields (with a winter gull-roost), a small pond, an area of scrub and a running track. Acton Park is mature parkland with a rather lovely arboretum. It has native and ornamental trees and a "nature area" also with a small pond. The Ealing ranger service is headquartered there.
