  • Wormwood Scrubs: 2 Whinchat, 1 Tree Pipit flushed from the grassland, 2 Meadow Pipit, c3 Swallow, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, c2 Whitethroat, c8 Chiffchaff, c320 Starling & c30 House Sparrow leaving their roost. (David Lindo)

  • KGV Reservoir (permit only): imm Shag at south end of north basin late evening, plus juv Black-necked Grebe on south basin, 7 Common Sandpiper and 500+ Swallow. (David Bradnum)

  • London Wetland Centre: 54 Gadwall, 16 Teal, 4 Garganey (Main Lake in front of WWF hide), 66 Shoveler, m Sparrowhawk (perched on top of Sand Martin bank)and reservoir lagoon, fem Kestrel (LWC website).
  • Beddington SF 2 Tree Pipit (JA/FP), 1 Wood Sandpiper (JA), 1 Greenshank, 17 Green Sandpiper, 5 Common Sandpiper, 11 (10 ad, 1 juv) Common Tern flew SE in one flock (Beddington Farm Bird Group).

  • Crossness: male Dartford Warbler in low weeds in southwest corner of construction compound and viewable from adjacent fields; 1 Wheatear and 1 Whinchat in paddocks, 8 Sand Martins and 4 Swallows through, 3 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls, 35+ Common Terns, 2 Common Sandpipers, 5 Redshanks, 150+ Teal (John Archer, Ian Miller & Kev Jarvis).

  • Wanstead Flats: 1 Tree Pipit, 5 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 imm/fem Redstart, 2 Whinchat (S. Fisher)
  • Brent Res.: 3 Green Sand, 1 Common Sand, 3 Lapwing, 1 Dunlin, 1 Wigeon, 25+ Common Terns, 20+ House Martin, 4 Blackcap, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 12+ Chiffchaff, 1 ad. male Common Redstart (50m before hide) (Roy Beddard); 1 Little Egret (Brent Birders).
  • Alexandra Park: Spotted Flycatcher, Garden Warbler, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff (Cricket Scrub); 2 House Martin (Reservoir); 20 Mistle Thrush (Pitch and Putt) (James Palmer); Spot Fly, Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Willow Warblers, 10+ Chiffchaffs, 5+ Blackcaps, 2 Jackdaws (over N) (David Callahan). 2 Sand Martin south over scrub, late evening (J.Murray).

  • Ingrebourne Valley: 2 possibly 3 Pied Flycatchers. 2 from viewing area, 1 near burnt area. Also 1 Garden Warbler & 22 Blackcaps in a single bush ! ( Steve Smith per V H-F ).
