Colour ringed Peregrines

Following recent sightings of an East Sussex colour ringed Peregrine at the London Wetland Centre, Graham Roberts of The Sussex Peregrine Study has requested that any sightings of colour ringed Peregrines be reported to him at graham.c.m.roberts@btinternet.com

Bird Atlas

Fieldwork kicks off for Bird Atlas 2007-11 on 1 November and we hope that all birders in Britain and Ireland can spare a few hours during the winter and breeding season to take part. The Atlas aims to map the distribution and relative abundance of birds in the winter and breeding season, so everything you see could contribute. There are two ways to take part (of equal priority):

  • take on a timed count in a tetrad (2x2 km square)
  • compile comprehensive species lists of birds in a 10-km square (Roving

Records)

If you can help out, please visit [1] to find out more, download Roving Record forms, register for Atlas Online and 'request a tetrad'.
