In 1901, a foundry owned by E.M. Beebe was listed in the Springfield directory (Polk 1901:377). It does not appear on the Sanborn maps, but an article in the Eugene Daily Guard dated 1913, noted that an iron foundry was located in Springfield. The business was not listed in the city directory of 1915 (Polk 1915:419-420).
