• Queen Mother Res: Pomarine Skua, still present in afternoon; also Polish-ringed Caspian Gull again present (RBA).
• Euston: Firecrest still present with tit-flock at park in Gordon Square (Birdguides). Still present 1450-1530h (Fraser Simpson).
• St James's Park: 2 Egyptian Geese at lunchtime (Andrew Self)
• South Norwood Lake: Mute Swan, 8 Cormorant, 100+ Black-headed Gull, 10 Tufted Duck, 1 Grey Heron, 4 Pied Wagtail, 20 Long-tailed Tit, 8 Ring-necked Parakeet, 4 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Nuthatch, 4 Redwing, 10 Goldfinch, 4 Chaffinch, 8 House Sparrow (John Watson).

• Walthamstow Reservoirs: Slavonian Grebe at southern end of West Warwick still, plus 2w Med Gull, drake Pintail, 2F Goldeneye, 135 Shoveler, 2 Egyptian Geese, 3 Goldcrests, GbbGull, 3 Shelducks, 300+ Woodpigeons coming in to roost (David Callahan); also first-winter Great Black-backed Gull, 21 Herring Gulls and 11 Lesser Black-backed Gulls at the filter beds opposite No 5 reservoir (Dominic Mitchell).
• Rainham Marshes RSPB: Great Northern Diver west along the Thames at 07:50hrs and Short-eared Owl over the silt lagoons (per Howard Vaughan); also six Jack Snipe, five Common Snipe and two Kingfishers on Wennington Marsh (per Ruth Barnes).
• Brent Reservoir: 1 Little Egret, 12 Snipe, 4 Water Rail, 1 Jackdaw (Roy Beddard).

• Canary Wharf: Peregrine high over Jubilee Park headed off east topwards the Millennium Dome (Richard Harrison).
• Dagenham Chase LNR: 70+ Teal, 19 Wigeon (12F, 7M), 9 Gadwall (5F, 4M), 16 Pochard (8F, 8M), 9 Shoveler (5F, 4M), 2 Little Egret, 3 Jackdaw and a flock of Reed Bunting probably into double figures (Vince Halley-Frame).
• Trent Park: 2 Stonechat, 12 Goldfinch, Tufted Duck (Pete Lowman).

• West Thurrock: Dartford Warbler at 8.15 on Saltings, 600 Dunlin, 7 Grey Plover, 326 Redshank, 9 Common Snipe, 2 Jack Snipe, 4 Rock Pipits, 11 Curlew, Little Egret, adult Yellow-legged Gull and 60 Redwing (Dave Morrison).

• Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens: 6 Gadwall, 3 Shoveler, adult-winter Mediterranean Gull (colour-ringed) showing well at the Round Pond, 33 Common Gull, ad Yellow-legged Gull (near Fisherman's Keep), 27 Herring Gull, 2w Great Black-backed Gull (near Fisherman's Keep), Tawny Owl, 3 Mistle Thrush, 4 Pied Wagtail (Des McKenzie, Paul Bruty).

• Broomfield Park (Palmer's Green): Mediterranean Gull on boating lake to 11:39hrs at least (RBA).
• Wanstead Park (10:15-11:15): thrash through for BTO early winter TTV; 32 species recorded including 104 Coot, 5 Little Grebe, around 30 each of Tuftie, Gadwall, Pochard & Mallard, single Goldfinch, Linnet, Mistle Thrush, 9 Jay (J Lethbridge).
• Dagenham Chase (2:10-3.30pm): 42 species including good numbers of Gadwall, a few Wigeon, female Mallard with ~10 very young ducklings, Snipe, Sparrowhawk, 4 Reed Bunting (J Lethbridge).

• Staines Res: 3 Black-necked Grebes on south res; at Staines Moor: c25 Fieldfare, 7 Stonechats, 6 Reed Buntings, Skylark, c30 Meadow Pipit. (Ian Ellis)
• London Wetland Centre: 1 Yellow-Browed Warbler seen in tit flock between Dulverton and WWF Hide @ 0950, 1 Bittern in reeds southern edge of Main Lake seen from Headley Hide, 2 Water Pipit Main Lake, 150 Fieldfare dropped in to site then off W (LWC wardens).
• Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens: 2 Egyptian Goose, 4 Gadwall, colour-ringed adult-winter Mediterranean Gull at Round Pond (am at least), 2w type Great Black-backed Gull (Serpentine), Tawny Owl, 2 Green Woodpecker, m Blackcap (Hudson Memorial), 3 Goldcrest, 2-3 Coal Tit (Des McKenzie, Fiona Barclay, Nick Tanner, Paul Bruty).
• Canon's Farm, Banstead: 50 Brambling in with 450 Chaffinch (Steve Gale).

• Fairlop Waters: 2 Stonechats, Skylark, 6 Fieldfare, 2 Redwing, Kingfisher, 46+ Cormorants, 8 Pochard, 3 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Little Grebes, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 3 Reed Buntings, 60+ Golden Plover with the Lapwings & Black-headed gulls on the farm field (Brendan Spooner).
• East India Dock NR: 2 Shelduck, 1 Yellow-legged Gull, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Black Redstart (2male, 1 female), 1 Brambling (copse), 2 Goldfinch (Gary A James); 2 more Shelduck flew in, circled, but didn't land (Paul Hyland); + Song Thrush, my first at this site (J Lethbridge).

• QEII Res: Little Auk (0717-0724); appeared out of mist, landed 50m off the NE corner, dived, surfaced, then flew off south into the mist! See Photo (Dave Harris)

• Rainham Marshes RSPB: three adult Bewick's Swans in Aveley Bay; also 2 Avocet (Birdguides); no further sign of swans by 4pm, but ringtail Hen Harrier and Short-eared Owl at ferry lane and silt lagoons (Paul Hawkins, Les Harrison).
• Amwell GPs: two Bearded Tits just beyond the hide at the water vole watchpoint, also Bittern & 2 Cetti's Warblers (Birdguides).
• Alexandra Park: Brambling, Siskin, 35 Fieldfares north, 2 Goldcrests & Water Rail in the conservation area/pond early morning (Andrew Gardener, Dominic Mitchell, Gareth Richards and Bob Watts) but no sign by 9am of yesterday's Firecrest; lunchtime: trilling Little Grebe, 2 Water Rail heard in Conservation Pond area, 2 Redwing, 2 Mistle Thrush, Nuthatch, 2+ Goldfinch; many Brown Rats (Des McKenzie, Mike Benyon), plus Siskin, 3 Goldcrests, Coal Tit and Nuthatch in The Grove and Grey Heron attacking, drowning and swallowing a Brown Rat at the boating pond (Dominic Mitchell).

• Queen Mother Res: flock of 8 Little Auk between 13:10hrs and 13:18hrs when they flew off east, no further sign by 14:00hrs; also, a Polish-ringed 1W Caspian Gull at 11:30hrs - please note, permit access only (CDRH per FM).
• Bedfont Lakes CP: Brambling over E 7.40am (Adam Cheeseman)
• Hoxton: Woodcock found dead at Pitfield Street, near St John's church (David Carruthers per DMc).
• Hounslow Heath: Woodcock, male Sparowhawk, Skylark, and several Meadow Pipits. (Adam Cheeseman)
• Alexandra Park: single Firecrest gave fine views at 12:34hrs in scrub c75metres north along path from Conservation Pond (in area near marker post), f Gadwall, 2 Little Grebe, 25 Common Gull, Green Woodpecker; no sign of tristis Chiffchaff (Des McKenzie).
• Acton: Woodcock flew over West Way opposite Braid Avenue (RBA).
• London Wetland Centre: Slavonian Grebe, Brambling through (RBA).
• Middlesex Filter Beds: 7 Lesser Redpolls and 5 Siskins (feeding in trees by main western entrance), 5 Teal, 2 Chiffchaffs, 18 Fieldfares, 6 Redwings, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 1 Grey Wagtail (Mark Pearson)
• Abney Park Cemetery: feeding flock included 1 Coal Tit, c4 Goldcrests and c15 LT Tits (Mark Pearson)

• Dagenham Chase LNR: Period of observation 11.05am - 4.55pm. 65 species recorded, 4 heard only. Highlights include, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Cetti's Warbler,4 Pochard, 31 Fieldfare, F Stonechat, 4 Little Egret, 12 Common Snipe, 2 Bullfinch 1M 1F, 1 Little Owl, 2 Jackdaw, 1 Siskin, 1 Chiffchaff, and 1 Great Black-backed Gull. The 4 species heard only were, 1 Brambling, 1 Redpoll, 1 M Pheasant and 1-2 Water Rail at 4.42pm. ( Vince Halley-Frame and Jonathan Lethbridge ).

• Rainham Marshes RSPB: Marsh Harrier flew east 07:45hrs; also Lapland Bunting flew over heading south late morning (RBA/Birdguides).
• Staines Res: 3 Black-necked Grebe on south basin (RBA).
• East India Dock NR: 1 Brambling still in copse, 4 Little Grebe, Shelduck (Paul Hyland)
• Sutton Town Centre: 1 Peregrine sitting on Quadrant House, then left westward. Second week of residency (Steve Gale)
• Stoke Newington Reservoirs: 1 Reed Bunting, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Grey Wagtail (TeRNS)
• Trent Park: 2 Stonechat still present on the "old golf course", Fieldfare, 50 BH Gull.( Pete Lowman).

• Broadwater GP: 36 Little Egrets flew in to roost from 16:10-16:46 (Birdguides)
• Leyton (10:45): a Woodcock flew past the house low west (Paul Whiteman).
• Fitzroy Square (W1T): Woodcock over at roof height heading N 09:00 (Peter Jones).
• Stoke Newington Reservoirs: 20 Redwing, 1 Fieldfare (all NW), c50 BH Gull, c10 LBB Gull, c10 Herring Gull, c25 Tufted Duck, 1 Pochard (Laurence Pitcher, Tony Butler); also, at 16.30 1 Common Snipe, 1 Kingfisher (TeRNS).
• London Wetland Centre (am): Pomarine Skua - 2 dark juveniles flew high SE at 0740, Ring-necked Duck/Tufted Duck hybrid 1 male, Woodpigeon 1937 SSW before 8 am, Water Pipit - 2 main lake islands, Stonechat 1 male grazing marsh, Fieldfare 50 NW, Redwing 8 SE, Chiffchaff 3, Chaffinch 70 W, Brambling 4 W, Goldfinch 35 WWF area, Lesser Redpoll 5 WWF area, Siskin 6 SW & 5 WWF area (Nick Senior).
• Northaw Great Wood: 6 Great Spotted Woodpecker; 15 Goldcrest; 6 Marsh Tit; 6 Coal Tit; 10 Nuthatch; 7 Treecreeper (Robert Callf).
• Broomfield Park, Palmers Green: 1 male Shoveler; 1 adult-winter Mediterranean Gull; 1 Red Admiral (Robert Callf).
• Alexandra Park (13:00-14:00hrs): no sign of the tristis Chiffchaff; 3 Gadwall, 4 Little Grebe, Redwing, 2 Mistle Thrush, m Blackcap (Cricket Scrub), 4 Goldcrest, redpoll sp in from south at 13.55hrs, ditched into trees near Conservation Pond (small and dark looking in flight so presumably a Lesser) (Des McKenzie); also, Fieldfare flew from Ckt Scrub 0800 (Bob Watts).
• East India Dock: 1 Collared Dove over high NE (site tick for me), 2+ Brambling in copse (another site tick for me), 2 male Black Redstart in copse, 4 Little Grebe, 2 Shelduck, 100+ Teal, Song Thrush (Richard Harrison).
• South Norwood Lake: 6 Cormorant, 50+ Black-headed Gull, 14 Tufted Duck, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Nuthatch, 10 Ring-necked Parakeet, 6 House Sparrow, 2 Redwing, 8 Goldfinch, 1 Pied Wagtail (John Watson).
