The Beverley Brook Walk is a footpath that starts at New Malden Station and runs for over 7 miles to the River Thames. The walk has 2.1 miles of roads to walk along but the rest is green. It can be walked whole or in sections. The walk itself offers access to various birding locations. These include
- Wimbledon Common, the path and Brook running alongside the western edge of the common.
- Richmond Park, here the path and Brook run through the park for about 1 1/4 miles.
- Palewell Wood. Path runs 100m away from this wood. It is an Oak and Ash woodland with a dense shrub layer of Holly.
- Barnes Common. This location is a slight distance from the Path but it does pick up the Brook and path at the northern end of the common. Barnes common is split into blocks by the railway line and numerous roads. The southern blocks are mainly mature decideous woodland and ivy shrub. The northern blocks show the remnants of acid grassland and pollarded oaks.
- The London Wetland Centre . Excellent birding site.
- Barnes Green and Lonsdale Road Reservoir. A short distance from the path and Brook again is the Green with its pond and a short walk brings you to the Thames and a little further on Lonsdale Road Reservoir.
- River Thames . The path ends at the Thames equidistant between Putney Bridge to Hammersmith Bridge. Large numbers of gulls. With Grey Heron and Cormorants all year and ducks in the winter. Around low tide is the best time to go.
