How long does it take to play this game?

• It usually takes around 30 - 40 real life days for most players to gain the ability to colonize an additional island.
• But it is rumored that some have done it in as little as a few weeks starting with a newly registered account.
• You can speed this up dramatically by joining an alliance that can provide you with resource donations.
