NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE HUMANITIES (NEH), FELLOWSHIPS

Targeted Fields Humanities.

Open To Postdoctoral Scholars.

Open to U.S. citizens. Foreign nationals living in the U.S. for at least 3 years prior to application are also eligible.

Eligibility Requirements Applicants who have satisfied all the requirements for a degree and are awaiting its conferral may apply. Individuals currently enrolled in a degree-granting program are ineligible to apply.

Stipend: Maximum grant of $50,400 for 12 months and $25,200 for 6 months (up to four awards from 4-12 months). Room and half-board at the Institute is $891 per month and the remainder is stipend.

Program Description Awards offered to support individuals pursuing advanced research in the humanities that contributes to scholarly knowledge or to the general public's understanding of the humanities. Recipients usually produce scholarly articles, monographs on specialized subjects, books on broad topics, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly tools. Fellowship is a full-time tenure for six to twelve months.
