-- The division of humanities at the UCLA will appoint 2 Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellows for a 1-year tenure (with a possible 1-year renewal) for fall 2009. Fellows must have earned a doctoral degree between January 2003 and June 2009. The Mellon Fellowship provides a stipend of $50,000, benefits, a moving allowance of $1,500, and a research budget of $2,000. Fellows will be housed in relevant departments for which they teach 2 courses. Designed to explore the field of Transnational Studies, the Mellon Program aims to broaden the study of minority cultures from its national focus to global and comparative perspectives.
