	Ever-accelerating human consumption of natural resources lies at the root of many of our global environmental problems. Current consumption patterns stress limited natural resources and create wasteful and even toxic byproducts that affect the quality of life in communities around the world. This environmental alteration compromises the Earth's ability to support human life, while our continually increasing population threatens the health of ecosystems of which we depend. When people migrate they tend to consume the things around them. So a more populated area will have a lot more waste and people are going to waste more if they have more to waste.
