Mayhem Laws of Physics

Believe it or not, there are actually many laws of physics that govern [[Mayhem]], although even these are frequently broken. These generally are, however, vastly different from those of [[Earth]].

==Some of the Laws==
0: The GM Rule: What GM says, goes. Meaning you if you don't listen.

1: Don't piss off the bartender of the RP. You usually get blasted or hit by

2: Super Bouncer. The bouncer of said [[Kylen's Interdimensional Bar|bar]] is uber strong.

3: No ID Checks.

4: If a character is being played by [[Kum-El]], someone will fall in love with him before the day is done. 
4a: She will, most likely, be someone played by [[10.0.0.1|10]]. 
4b: Even if the character is deliberately anti-social. 
4c: The only exceptions seem to be if the RP dies a quick death.

5: There WILL be one character everyone, including the writer, hates.

47: There are always at least two characters who start out unable to speak English (or whatever alternate common language is in use, if not English).

48: At least one character will have/has a sibling with a military background.

49: At least one char will have an animal cohort.

50: Anyone who controls Electricity will have found out about their ability by frying their Computer/MP3 player/Phone/Robot Dog.

51: All of Yun's characters are at least bilingual. 
51a: Even if he has to make up the second language himself.

52: At least one of Kylen's characters will be curtained for violence or otherwise at least once in the first 200 pages of said character's involvement in RP.

53: What happens BTC doesn't always stay BTC.

54: BTC will always mean Behind the [[Tasteful Curtain|Curtain]].

55: If a character has a secret that they want to keep hidden from other characters, it will always always be revealed when they think no-one is watching. 
55a: They will do one of two things: Tell nobody, or tell everybody. There is no middle ground.

56: Certain characters always seem to be quiet for strangely long periods of time before suddenly speaking up, while others are always talking.

57: If something is revealed OOC it will be revealed IC within a page or less.

58: Fawe's characters will be stalkers at least once in the RP.

59: the Mike Kent Rule: Romance Sense SUCKS!

60: Any bad habits held by a character will be broken by another.

61: Anything that is set up for a cliché ending will have said ending.

62: There will be a Wiki in under a month or 2 of no plot movement.

63: There will always be a diagram of the dorms, but not the important places.

64: Six months of character development will be crammed into two days of action because the thread moves too slowly. 
64a: No one is ever knocked out for a week.

65: If a character says that he/she is "Invincible", "Indestructible", "Unbeatable" or "Immortal", they will be proven very wrong in the next five pages.

66: The little girl always kicks the big guy's butt.

67: Kylen's characters get shagged within a day of meeting a significant other.

68: There is always at least one catgirl.

69: No, your character may not have 'One-Winged Angel' as their theme music.

70: No PC is ever really unremarkable.

82: Evil plotting will always occur OOC, also Murphy's Law has particular sway IC.

83: People in love are always at Murphy's mercy, of which there is none.

84: Characters may have Asian names, even if they have no Asian heritage whatsoever.

86: Kum-El will have a free male. Ten will have a free female.

99: Don't get in the middle of a fight between [[Brylian_Troy]] and [[HomerNet]], you will get hurt, and that's Just The Way They Are.

100: Don't try to out-plot-twist [[HomerNet]], you will always fail.

101: If there is a hot-bodied female moogle, there must ''always'' be a leather-clad hot-bodied female moogle.

102: If something happens that ''still'' shouldn't happen, the reason is because "this is Mayhem".

103: [[Ajac]] will play a very moral good guy. 
103a: Expect many biblical references when he is around.

104: [[Jstone]]'s characters are all action-movie cliches. 
104a: Unless he's been up way too late. Then they're a well-written, multidimensional character. Whether or not this effect is all in his head, however, is unapparent.

105: If an RP involves [[Teleros]], [[Jstone]], or [[Saric Krass]], expect spaceships. 
105a: Expect [[Saric Krass]]'s space-ships to be powerful to the point of absurdity.

106: [[Piebunny]]'s characters will be Australian. Even if he doesn't say they're Australian. 
106a: ESPECIALLY if he doesn't say they're Australian.

107: If [[Piebunny]] and [[Author-Man]] both have female characters, those characters will wind up being naked together at some point in the RP. It's only a matter of time. 
107a: This will not necessarily mean they are lesbians, however.

108: [[ChroniclerC]]'s characters are almost always non-morphic animals, shapeshifters, or both (shapeshifter with a non-morphic form). 
108a: Expect lycanthropy and/or white foxes.

109: Any female that [[Kalga]] plays will completely overshadow his male characters. 
109a: She will be a crybaby at some point.

110: All of [[vampiress_kat]]'s characters will either have a very large or infinite storage space of some sort. Even if it defies logic. 
110a: ESPECIALLY if it defies logic.

111: All of Kalga's female characters will be catgirls. Or godesses. Or something like that.

112: Don't let Kalga in a game. He WILL make it about catgirls.

113: If it's funny and you've seen it in a Warner Bros. cartoon it probably either has happened or will happen to Will Page. 
113a: The odds of this increase if it's a Law of Cartoon Physics.

114: 50% of characters involved with magic will end up with an Evil Clone or such. 10% of non-magical characters will also have this happen to them. 
114a:30% of those clones will be weaker than the main, 30% stronger, and 30% the same strength. The last 10% will be both stronger and weaker than the main. 
114a1: Refer to the quote "He may be stronger than you, but you have one thing he doesn't. 'Blank'"

115: Females played by Author-Man will probably be named after something he heard in an anime once. Or a gemstone. One or the other. 
115a: They also fall into one of three basic personality types. Antisocial bitch-queen, chronically insecure shy girl, or endearingly perky. 
115b: His males tend to be jerks.

116. All Characters made by [[Bain]] are jerks.

117. If the RP has any sort of fight, [[catldr24]]'s character will be knocked out, even if they have to do it themselves.

Tomoko resolved, early in her life as a member of the main family of the Hyuuga clan, to become a medic-nin. Naturally, this is not the usual path for a Hyuuga. After a few demonstrations of medical jutsu, she realized that by simply combining the "Shōsen Jutsu" (Mystical Palm technique) with the Gentle fist style, she could quite literally stop an opponent even if they dodged the brunt of any blows. She then trained relentlessly to get her stamina up to snuff. As a Hyuuga, her chakra control was naturally good, but prior to training the Shōsen Jutsu took too much of her chakra to use practically.She can still fight effectively without using this combination, but it is significantly more powerful together. There is a major drawback to it however, any blows delivered with both jutsu tire her out a little more that doubly as quick, which means that anyone who dodges t repeatedly could have an easy time fighting her. And that she can't perform healing jutsu after some long battles.

• Byakuya-Neko: Byakuya-Tora's cub. Summoned with the same scroll as his father, but shows up more
often when the elder is not available.

• Toushou ("Frostbite"): Kept in a scroll on the inside of her bracelet (literally attached to the bracelet, it disappears when summoned). A white staff with one end covered in a layer of ice. If she calls out "Shatter" when summoning it, it appears with a lucerne hammer head on the frosted end. If she calls out "Impale", it's atwo-pronged naginata-like polearm. Both weapon heads are bitterly cold to the touch.

-Genjutsu: Fairly little beyond the basics that any Jounin would know.

-Taijutsu: Extremely good in hand-to-hand combat, even more so when she uses her clan ability.

• White Paw: General term for the Shirosaki style. Focuses on flexibility and confusing attacks, almost like a dance. Even more useful when in Shinko Moujuu.

Bloodline: The Shirosaki clan are known for two things: Having white catlike tails and pointed ears, and for the most part having similar "catlike" personalities that tend to unnerve many who aren't from the clan. The clan also has a pair of bloodline jutsu that change their form, one that gives them a feral form that dramatically increases their strength and reflexes, the other a cat form that is usable for infiltration and whatnot. They are, however, originally native to the Snow Country, but now are nomadic. The clan can, however, still use ice-based jutsu, though these are made by manipulating available water vapor into ice (think Frozone from the Incredibles). Besides that, the jutsu are simply ice-element clones of Water Release ninjutsu.
• Shinko Moujuu (True Beast/Predator): Makes her appearance look much more feral, something of a lycanthrope-like cat/human hybrid. Visibly increases her reflexes and strength, and she can maintain it for a fair amount of time, though it does drain chakra to keep active.
• Shinko Neko (True Cat): A form essentially identical to tha of a housecat. Due to lacking proper hands, she is unable to use nearly all jutsu in this form. The exceptions are the Genjutsu Dispelling technique, the ability to switch back into either her normal form or Shinko Moujuu forms, and Ice Release: Breath of Winter Frost (though the cone of effect is smaller given heer form).

Name: Banjaku Tachiban (he gets called Tachi alot)

Appearance: He has short brown hair that perks from beneath his bamboo hat. He has brown eyes and an average face. He wears a sleeveless t-shirt with his clans symbol imprinted on it. It is cut in two by a diagonal line, the upper half of it dark brown, the other half more like beige, his logo is on the beige side. He wears shorts combined with sandals(not the traditional Japanese ones but the Western type) and no socks. on his left index finger he wears a silver ring. Tachi is quite muscled to buff, but not over the top.

Personality: Tachiban is an upbeat youngster with a bright look on the world.Tashiba is not scared easily He is quite naive and is easily fooled, but can have bright moments in rare situations. He has a moderate sense of sense of honor and will not allow his friends to be bullied, unless the bully is out of his league. Coming from a family of artist ninjas, Tachiba likes to sculpt in his free time, though he usually just punches the rock into shape. If you don't get that read below.

--Combat tactics: Tachiba uses a style called 'Fist of the craftsmen.'

It is a mixture of Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, mainly Taijutsu. When Tachiba forms the ox, dragon, ox seals, two symbols in the palms of his hands start to glow. Tashiba has enough power t crush rocks, but that would be quite useless in his situation. I could explain this in detail, but that would be quite useless.
Tachiba simply runs to the nearest rock and smashes it. His special fighting style allows him to reshape rocks by smashing them, he can't increase their volume though, but he can use up to 95% of it's mass. He knows the basic uses of this style. (smashing rocks into a volley of stone shuriken, reform it into a spike, or simply encase his fists in stone, making his punches pack more power.) The main disadvantege is that he needs rocks in the vicinity. Tachiban is trying to learn a ninjutsu to pull rocks out of the ground, but he still can't do that. When really left no choice, he can use basic ground ninjutsu and moderate taijutsue to defend himself. (Though Rock Lee would kick his ass anyday.)

Shadow Wall Jutsu: Using a good amount of Chakra, the user creates a solid wall of shadows, able to stop most projectiles, and some hand to hand weapons.

This thread is an excerise in unchecked power and rampant...well...something bad. And to think, it started from something so innocuous...

==The Innocuous Beginning==

It all started as an insecure post by [[Kyrio]] to see if people liked him. Though people's responses were indeed respond overwhelmingly affirmative, the inherent chaos of Mayhem ensured that the message of the thread would be derailed into many more entertaining venues. But like many of the entertaining threads which pop up every so often, this one seemed doomed to fade into the obscurity of the lower pages...

==The Descent==

No one knows what motivated the creator of the thread to unleash what he did next. Some say it was a bad reaction to [[LSE|low self esteem]]. Some say his insecurity compelled him to take up the dark arts. Some say he was prescient, and decided that doing so would be amusing to many. Some even say he was aiming for something smaller and just happened to say Hastur's name a few too many times.

Whatever the cause, the creator took up the art of Necromancy and raised his thread from the second page. Doing so had no immediate ill effect, and it lasted for another couple of hours. But as it began to fade again, he pulled the same trick. This happened a few too many times, and the creator's madness became apparent. And as many know, insanity sometimes leads to awesome powers, just as tragically proved to be the case here.

==The Premise==

This thread has become something along the lines of the Merch. If the thread fails to be maintained, a letter of the alphabet will be destroyed. Regardless of which letter is destroyed, this would be a catastrophe. People's whole reading lists would be rendered illegible, and the phrase "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy sleeping dog" would lose its meaning entirely.

If recent actions are any indication, the destruction will not stop at letters. Entire syntactical concepts could be annhilated. Diction as we know it might die an agonizing death!

==The Action==

Letters have been destroyed before. However, the initial disaster was stopped by the timely intervention of [[Lomgren|Lomgren's]] white magic. Letters have since been destroyed. A glimmer of hope shined momentarily, as [[Drow Bunny|Drow Bunny's]] initial confusion and literalness instead caused him to lose "x," the most unused letter in the alphabet (except, of course, for わ. Nobody uses わ very much). [[Lomgren]] has worked tirelessly to revive all of the letters, but what about the future?

The killing was soon appended to by [[Burningblood]], though he was killing things at random with no discernable motive. [[Kyrio]], with a gleam of good character, put a stop to it and stripped [[Burningblood]] of his use of punctuation. [[Burningblood]] then attempted a summoning, but failed when the incantation required a [[semicolon]]. He was then refused access to spaces. He has yet to regain these facilities.

==The Lawsuit==

[[Lomgren]]'s magical reversal of [[Kyrio|Kyrio's]] [[Lv7 Death]] spell on the letters he had killed was soon discovered by local natural judicairy unit, [[Mewtarthio]]. (Though his credentials as such were never brought up) and he set about convicting [[Lomgren]] for upsetting the natural order by his vigilante actions against [[Kyrio]]. However, [[Kyrio]] was equally found guilty through his attempt to revive the thread in the first place. [[Lomgren]] was then sentenced to a severe and stingy wrist slapping, while [[Kyrio]] was merely stripped of his power and banished to a [[null-magic]] plane.

==The Conclusion==

In the end, [[Kyrio]] surrendered [[the Win]] to [[Lomgren]] and emancipated all the literary elements under his power. The thread is now nothing more than a chat thread, but perhaps some new catastrophe will arise?
