Drow Bunny is a bunny who joined the Keenspot forums in April 2006, in response to the song-fu EGS comic. Initially he stayed in the main EGS forum, with only a limited foray into Mayhem on the recommendation of the bunny who glomped him. However, after several months, he stumbled into Let's Count to a Million!!! and took off from there.

Avatars

Drow Bunny's first avatar was of mSusan holding Jeremy. After that, it was an avatar of female Dan in a bunny outfit, recolored to look like a dark elf. Then, it was Killerfish's rendition of Drow Bunny herself, in the same outfit. Drow Bunny's avatar changed briefly near the end of Grace's Birthday Party, reflecting his mood (first one of Sarah and Elliot as his anticipation built, then of Sarah in shock as the final comic was delayed several times). Since then, his avatar has been an "iDrow" fanart from the Drowtales website. However, his most recent avatar were of mSusan immediately after transformation and during her revelation in Grace's Brithday party, in recognition of becoming human and male again in the Keenfans RP, and then beoming swamped with schoolwork.

His current avatar is of (newly transformed) female Dan, wondering if reacting so happily to a new jacket was too girly. Drow Bunny has done numerous things that show he deserves the avatar...

Drow Bunny (RL)

The real life Drow Bunny is rather paranoid, and usually makes a habit of not revealing information about himself. However, after a few months in Mayhem, he's gradually started to open up. In fact, he's almost gotten used to the fact that his picture is on the main page for the Order of the Bunny.

He has explained his name once.

Drow Bunny (forums)

Drow Bunny is the alias of a young man who foolishly combined a fascination with elves and the TF technology granted in his newbie pack. After entering everything he knew about Drow (dark elves) into the gun, he decided to test his creation on a human subject: himself. What happened was something he never would have expected. Basing his hypothesis on current TF theory, the young man expected to gain drow-like characteristics while remaining essentially human; what actually happened was an actual interspecies conversion, turning him from a human into a dark elf.

Physically, Drow Bunny differs from her real life counterpart in significant ways. For one thing, she is female, and Drow. She possesses all of the abilities commonly associated with Dark Elves, including Darkvision (extremely acute infravision), the ability to create darkness, faerie fire, and motes of light, and has potent resistance to magic. This resistance also apparently applies to TF technology (though not other scientific procedures), essentially trapping her in female drow form.

Psychologically, there is little difference between the RL and forum persona. Drow Bunny has a tendency to be extremely polite and modest, usually goes out of his/her way to avoid confrontation, and worries constantly about offending people. He possesses a vast knowledge of random things, and will often go out of his way to learn more. He tends to be sentimental, a trait which is greatly amplified at night. The only real difference between the two aspects of Drow Bunny is that his forum persona is rather social, where the RL one is far more reticent and shy.

Drow Bunny describes his Dungeons & Dragons alignment to be Neutral Good, but he is likely far closer to being Lawful than he'll admit.

Keenfans RP

The Keenfans RP is currently the only roleplay that Drow Bunny engages in.

• Drow Bunny
  • Represents herself in the Keenfans RP. The only major differences are her access to various forms of potent magic and her psychological block which prevents her magic from working most of the time. This block results from her fear of jealousy and resentment on part of everyone else, leading her to subconsciously subordinate her power in an attempt to avoid "god-moding" (whether she can, in fact, muster the power of a god-mode character is unknown, but unlikely). Despite her general need for social approval, she has a fairly friendly rivalry with Drayco.
• Eddie
  • Eddie is a sentient shadow, named after Eddie, the shadow parasite from Guilty Gear. Despite his inauspicious naming, Eddie shares a more-or-less amicable relationship with Drow Bunny. The two usually cooperate, in between bouts of rather sibling-like fights. He is rather standoffish around most others. He deeply resents the Artmoogle, but silently, out of fear. Unlike Drow Bunny, Eddie's capabilities are somewhat better defined, combining capabilities of Guilty Gear Eddie and certain Dark powers from City of Heroes.

RPs/Games/Other

Due to a combination of social insecurity and general RP uncertainty, Drow Bunny participates in no RPs beyond the rather unstructured Keenfans, but contributes to several games. He also gives out hugs freely in The Hug Hospital.

Trivia

• Drow Bunny's love of obscure references tends to be awkward. As far as he knows, very few people on the forums know what Melty Blood is, recognize any game from the old World of Darkness (besides maybe Vampire: The Masquerade), play Gitaroo Man, etc.
• Drow Bunny tends to switch between masculine and feminine pronouns at whim unless the case calls for one or the other (RL information or RP, respectively)
• Eddie first appeared in Drow Bunny's posts in the City of Heroes forums, as Umbramancer's sentient, but rebellious, Dark Servant.
  • Eddie has been knocked out of the Keenfans thread twice by the Artmoogle. The first time, he landed in the Exploitation Now forums and had to work his way back (missing Mayhem and ending in the main forum). The second time, he hit the wall of the Keenspot forums, landing in When I Grow Up.
• Drow Bunny is rather apt to be verbose, but hates excessive repetition. Hence, writing his name so many times in this page has been near-unbearable.
• He almost became the moderator for the Mayhem Wiki, but was beaten by about three minutes and twelve shades of self-confidence by VOR.
• Drow Bunny was interrupted at first in writing this page because of lack of sleep and emotional overload from a 12:30 AM episode of Bleach.
• Drow Bunny has an extremely small fan thread on the main forums, with one single fan work (a poem).
• Drow Bunny also has a Livejournal account, which he updates rarely. However, it is home to what he considers some of his best writing (in the form of a travelogue to Japan).
• Drow Bunny corresponds with other bunnies very rarely outside the forums (post or PM). The only person known to have done so is FerretBob. Speculation is that he hasn't gotten comfortable in that sort of one-on-one communication yet.
  • Yes, this means that speaking with Drow Bunny in real life is even worse. If contact does occur, don't be alarmed or offended if he appears so uncomfortable he may run away.
• Sir Drow Bunny is a knight in the Order of the Bunny.
  • Mostly because he managed to weather through meeting six other bunnies without collapsing in unwarranted social discomfort.
    • Coincidentally, he managed to meet R.A. Salvatore about 15 minutes before this occurred, so his social batteries may have gotten an overdrive boost. Or they just run really well on fumes.
