The Grassy Vale is the tavern in the town square in Grassvale.

The interior looks pretty much like any tavern in a fantasy novel would be expected to look, except with modern conveniences. It’s large, fairly spacious, and has a sort of "friendly" ambience to it.

The tables are made of a dark wood, and are very sturdy. The chairs look (and are) very comfortable, and have slots in the backs to accommodate people with tails. The walls look a bit bare at the moment – perhaps Lee will put some of his artwork on the walls later, with the publican’s support, especially if Kayla persuades him to, and after he gets a look at some of Lee’s stuff. (Eventually maybe portraits of the regulars? I'm thinking line drawings of each of our regular crew there, framed and hung on the walls.)

In one corner is the karaoke machine. This is not your standard karaoke machine, however – it’s a product of a world where technology and magic exist together, frequently combined. In fact, it is from Lee’s (and Kayla’s) home world. There are several clever modes built in to the machine which can change the singer’s voice to sound like someone who has had years of singing lessons, or to sound like a singer of the opposite gender.

The tavern serves drinks (alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and magical) and food of just about any type you care to name.

The publican has no problem with folks just hanging around, as long as you buy at least one drink per evening.
