To add a new character to your game:
For Deus Vult:
- Find the appropriate dynasty
- Find the appropriate realm tag
- Open your save game & scroll down to the character section
- Find a spot between two characters to use and include yours using a similar format (You do not need to use separate lines between the fields though, just a space).
character={id={type=10 id=7734} dyn=1 tag=C333 name="Bob" date="10250000" gender=male religion=catholic culture="russian" deathdate = "10490000" score={gold=25 prestige=100 piety=100} attributes = "6.7.4.5.8.5.91521328" traits={deceitful=yes indulgent=yes coward=yes knowledged_tactician=yes} father={type=10 id=1234} mother={type=10 id=1337} loyalty=1.000 court=5 dna="12345678901234"}
- Characters need to have id numbers, dynasty numbers, tags, names, (birth)dates, genders, religions, cultures, attributes, dna numbers.
- Characters do not need to have deathdates; gold, prestige, or piety scores; fathers; mothers; loyalty; or court positions.
- Id numbers must be unique. When in doubt, use a large (>7 digit) one.
- Dates use the YYYYMMDD format and are always 8 digits long (eg, 1 January 866 is "08660101", not 86611).
- The attributes are, in order, Martial, Diplomacy, Intrigue, Stewardship, Fertility, Health.
- Characters with no traits should still have a space for them, such as
Traits = {}
Notes
Vanilla CK is similar but the attribute names are spelled out. Simply use another character as a model.
Inclusion of a deathdate later than the save will not cause the person to die on that day.
The spelling of some terms is peculiar. When in doubt,leave a long string of ********s as a placeholder and search up or down for an example to be sure of proper spelling.
Save game editing can produce more than one member of a court position, which may cause instability.
