You stand, watching a suspicious-looking man walk down a street. From the safety of a rooftop, you are safe to observe unnoticed. When he rounds a corner, you follow him on the rooftops. It's a dark alley. You hop down into the street, and let your knives slide out of your sleeves. The man turns around, and cries out a bit -- but it's too quiet for anyone to hear but you. With a flash, your blades slash across his chest, and he lies on the ground dead. Damn thief, you think. always stealing from others.
It is 20th-century England. And the war between assassins and thieves has begun.
