Head straight to the gym
From Create Your Own Story
Having zipped up his bag and locked his dorm room up, Jacob swings the duffle bag over his shoulder as he pounds down the stairwell of Fontaine Hall, loathe to use the elevator for only three floors when he's warmed up and ready to go. Settling down somewhat once he exits the large dorm building, he takes a deep breath of the crisp morning air before setting out for his target, the sports centre.
Spying a friend from his creative writing course the previous year, knowing from experience that she gets up this early to be able to sketch the scenery of the campus undisturbed, he waves lightly to her and smiles softly as he gets a response, as he continues on his way. Jogging swiftly up to the entrance of the SAG, he brushes through the large main doors and pulls his lanyard-hung student ID out from underneath the neck of his vest, despite the security guard knowing him well. The tired man waving him through, the blue-eyed sophomore wastes no time in making his way into the mens changing rooms and claiming one of the short-term lockers, throwing his ID and bag in there after grabbing his towel and water bottle from it. Closing up and clicking shut the padlock on the locker, he proceeds into the main gym area and promptly freezes in something nearing shock.
Every day for the past year, he had come to the student gym at six o'clock in the morning, and had never seen anyone else here before around half six. Yet, here in front of him, the small figure of a woman was going about a series of stretches upon one of the yoga mats. She had the overall appearance of a freshman, if freshmen had a distinctive look, and was dressed in a white shirt and red running shorts, from what he could see. From this angle, her face was obscured by ebow-length dark blonde hair.
Shaking himself from his surprise, Jacob sighs softly and moves towards the treadmills.
