You decide to wait for Alex. The dumbass really didn't deserve your loyalty but damn, you couldn't just leave him. Plus you didn't want to sit with rando's from the lecture. You leant back against the door, huffing at the thought of missing your dinner break when you started to hear the faint mutterings from behind the door. It didn't sound like they were trying to keep their voices down much.

"You sure your friend isn't going to wait around for you?"

"Nah, she'll have shot off to get some food, poor girl skipped breakfast so she must be starving.". I mean he wasn't wrong. "And anyway, would it really matter if she was still out there?"

"Fair point" The words were sharp and laced with authority as they fell from the speaker's lips, Johnson never sounded so ... deeply ingrained in what he was saying "That means I can take all the time I need to remind you that you have a responsibility to this school. That means" A muffled thud "you have to respect those who enforce those rules. Now, what's stopping me from reporting your arse to the board, hmm?" "You mean you want me to make it up to you?"

The threat was explicitly tangible - any action deemed disrespectful would not be taken lightly.

It sounded like dialogue from a porno …

Oh.

Ohhh. You had always had a feeling that something was going on between them, but now it was confirmed, but you really didn't need that big green checkmark of proof for you to live with. As you approached their door, you hesitated, debating whether to knock or turn away. But then, you couldn't help but lean in closer as you heard them talking inside. A mix of emotions washed over you - curiosity, discomfort, jealousy. Despite feeling like you shouldn't be listening in, a part of you couldn't resist staying just a little while longer. Alex had just said it wouldn't matter after all...
