"What's up Ken"

As you walk down the stairs you try to make your presence obvious, as to not scare Ken. You see him relax as you near the ground floor, so you try to strike up a conversation.
"What's up Ken?"
"What's up my homo homie."
You near the counter where Ken is sitting, then proceed to lean against it. "Nothin' much buttercup. You?"
"Meh, I had to stay up late to work on a science project."
"Aw, rip. Are you gonna be ok for school? I could call in to give you a sick day."
"Nah, I'll just tough it out."
Ken turns to face you, his golden locks brightening up his otherwise defeated smile. You two stand there, as if in a trance. You and Ken seemed to subconsciously begin a staring contest, and before long, you two were horsing around, trying to get the other to blink.
