You aim slightly to the right, and with all your strength you throw the dart. Even before the dart hits the machine, you can tell it's a good shot.
Instead of it's usual whirring noise, the machine is now silent. Slowly and carefully you poke your head out from around the sink, expecting to be shot at any minute.
The dart is wedged tightly in the barrel of the machine, jamming it and preventing it from shooting out any more lethal projectiles. You're safe, at least for now.
