At the lake, before doing anything else you inspect the water and it's surroundings. Cupping your hand into the lake you bring a mouthful near your head, muttering words of magic you cleanse it of any potential contaminants. Assured of it's purity, you drink deeply of the clear water. To your surprise the water tastes incredibly sweet and there are hints of magical influence not of your doing.

Curious, you take a look around and follow the lake to it's source further upstream. Leaving the camp behind, you trace the lake through some measure of woods. During your hike you see several intriguing trees, some uprooted, their trunks smashed and crushed as if something of immense strength pulled them right out of the earth. On others were badly painted and half finished esoteric markings of red and purple forming a barely comprehensible glyphs.

The strange markings grew in number as you drew near the source of the lake. Stepping through the underbrush and into a clearing, you are startled to see a waterfall tumbling down a rock-face. And up above, the beginnings of the waterfall came from a cave. What's even more curious is that you can feel a strong magical presence emanating from within.

Intrigued and more than a little curious you decide to venture in and investigate the cave.

The climb to the cave was exhausting and wet. Not seeing another path to the top, you've been forced to climb through the waterfall using magic to stick your hands to the stones and create grasping surfaces. Unfortunately, creating a shield against the water would have been too exhausting to maintain the entire way, so you climbed without a protection against the tide of water. But you made it to the cave without any serious injury though your entire body aches from the exertion and clothing drenched entirely.

The entrance to a cave that seems relatively deep and the lake water flowing through it is coated in magic. The cave holds more surprises, you find enormous piles of bones and skeletons neatly piled into a pyramid with painted numerals. There are also some random pages fluttering about and further in the cave you can hear a deep rumbling sound and sense powerful magical aura
