"Get lost," you growl. The sound of your voice is startlingly rough.

"Excuse me?" the man looks insulted. Did he know you after all? You can't be sure.

"You would do well to have more respect for yourself and others," he says.

He walks quickly into the tan apartment building. You can see him through the glass doors as he points you out to the doorman, who is glaring at you.
