His eyes soften, but you can see a faint smirk in them as well.

"Look, Althea, you're a good girl, you can have bad intentions, but you are, good," he says quietly.
"Get to the point," you replied.
He stiffens, then sighs and turn away from you.
"Send them all to the Desolation," he says softly to one of the soldiers.
The Desolation?
You gasp before you can stop yourself. The name gives you a headache and chills you to the bone. The soldier looks surprised for a moment, then replies, "Are you sure?"
The boy nods sadly. Before you have a chance to respond, to ask what the Desolation is exactly, to ask what his name is, you are knocked unconscious.
