You look around the room for a way out. You notice that there is a loose board on the wall just below your bed. You try and pull it loose and notice that it is rotted through. It pulls open easily and you are able to make a small hole. You may be able to widen it with time, but with no way of hiding it you would have to do so before he comes back.

You could either take some time to widen the hole and hope to get out before he gets back. He wouldn't know you were leaving and that would buy you some tie, but if you don't get out before he returns there will be no chance of getting up fast enough to get away from him. Or you could hide behind the door, and when he takes a look at the hole you could probably slip out. But if he notices you go by him it would be hard to outrun him for too long with that belly of yours.

• Try and widen that hole.
• Wait behind the door.
