The big girl stares at you in disbelief.

"Yeah you heard me," you continue with all the determination you can muster. "Go get your own bunk!"

She turns away, growling and rudely shoves the dark-haired girl off her bunk without even asking permission. You consider helping but end up sitting by quietly as the dark-haired girl collects her stuff from the floor and glares sourly at the tough girl who simply sighs, smiles, and closes her eyes, stretching her whole body out over the stolen bunk. The dark-haired girl frowns at you too as she climbs into the bunk above you. She knows that you could have stood up for her but you didn't.

"All right everyone!" Alana chirps. "Time for dinner!" You roll your eyes and follow. In truth, camp food isn't as disgusting as you had first anticipated. During dinner, you get to know the other girls in your cabin. The quiet girl reluctantly says her name is Katrina. Susan is a bouncy girl with enthusiasm that matches Alana's She's wearing LHC's camp tee-shirt from the previous year when they did the Revolutionary War. Apperantly, she's a veteren of this camp as well as an actress. Just great. Megan, the brunette, already seems to have taken a liking to Stacey, the blond in the bunk bed below her. It's no wonder since they both act like Valley Girls. Kim, the tough girl, growls her name between bites of sloppy Joe. Rachel is the dark haired girl who gave up the bottom bunk for Kim. She doesn't seem to be afraid of Kim, but she doesn't seem to like her either.

After dinner, the whole cabin wades through the sea of campers in the costume room to pick out their costumes. You are directed to where the diplomat costumes are at. Many colorful dresses line the wall. You get to pick one fancy dress and one work dress. The camp has banquets? This is sounding better and better.

Morning can't come soon enough. When the sunlight shines through the curtained windows, you are ready to get going. Tugging on the durable costume skirt shirt, vest, and head covering, you already look in character for your day in "Sunnyslope Castle". Your classes and their location and time are listed on a sheet of paper attached to your sleeping bag that Alana must have put there the night before.

The other girls are gathering now and are already in costume. Alana, remarkably, is one of the last ones to fully get ready. Apparently, she is not a morning person despite her earlier enthusiasm. You can tell by looking at the other girls' costumes that Rachel and Katrina are archers, Kim and Susan are knights, and Stacy and Megan are diplomats. Stacy and Megan offer to let you come with them to Etiquette Class after breakfast while the other girls head off to their own classes.
