You run, without hesitation, to the exit sign. Every step you take, you hear the monster get just a little bit closer. As you thrust the door open and whip inside, you hear a horse scream. You turn and slam the door shut, catching just the slightest glimpse of the creature in mid air coming for the door.

You feel the immense pressure and weight of the creature ram the door. It pushes you back a bit and knocks the door ajar but you quickly close it back and hold on for dear life. A few seconds go by and you hear nothing. But then the familiar yell and another more forced push against the door. It throws you back onto the ground and the door swings open, crashing into the wall.

You close your eyes, waiting for the creature to pounce on top of you. But the room is silent and after about a minute, you open your eyes.

The creature that was trying so furiously to get through the door lays motionless, half inside the door way. It's attempts to break through the door seem to have smashed its skull in. The heavy reinforced actually saved your life.

Now that you have gathered yourself together, you realize you can see an orange light coming from a door way on the opposite side of the hallway. It's got to be the exit! You run as fast as you can freeze in utter horror.

By location, you suspect you are at the General Hospital. And what you thought to be the evening sunlight is in actuality the surrounding buildings, including this one, set ablaze. The charred ash falls from the night sky, blanketing everything in a gray shroud. The thick smoke hanging in the air chokes you and stings your eyes. You need to get out of here anyway you can.
