You spend the rest of the afternoon avoiding Alex in your room. This goes pretty well, probably because he got all he wanted. Hours pass, and eventually your mom calls you down for dinner. You're not really hungry, but you know you can't miss dinner without facing "the inquisition" of your mom. You head down and sit at the kitchen table. Your dad and Alex are already sitting, and Alex gives you a little wink as you come into the room. You can't do anything about it as your mom serves the food. "So, Josie, how was your day?" She asks. You blush thinking about it. Alex grins and raises an eyebrow at you, but no one else notices. "Uh... you know... it was boring," you tell her. It was probably the biggest lie you've ever told. You're surprised you can keep your composure through dinner, but you manage it long enough to eat your fill and excuse yourself.
