"I can't talk to him. He hates me..." Claus grabs the book and opens it to the picture of you and Ness. He tries drying the wet stain caused by your tear.

"He clearly doesn't. He looks so happy in this picture. You guys were the perfect match. Who's to say you're not still the perfect match." You look down and at your lap.

"When I started to be rude to him. That's when." Claus puts his hand on your back.

"You two just need to restart. Talk to him. Be the person you used to be. Mom wouldn't like it if you stayed in your feelings the entire time, would she?" You haven't had the proper time to talk with your brother in so long. You miss it. You shouldn't have stopped. You smile softly before looking at Claus.

"I'll try...I really will." Claus smiles before bringing you into a hug. It takes some time, but you finally hug back. The two of you share your first hug in months, years even. You melt into the hug. "Thank....thank you so much." Claus didn't say anything back, but the smile on his face when he broke the hug was enough.

"Now get ready, the bus will be here soon." He stands up and leaves the room. You're already pretty ready so you just grab your bag and leave the house. Claus follows close behind you. Soon enough, the bus does come. He's the first on the bus. You get on and look around at the different places to sit. You can sit by yourself like you usually do, or you can sit by....Ness. Yes, he doesn't have anyone sitting with him. You see Claus's face egging you on.

You have a photo book. This photobook has pictures of you and your close ones from mainly elementary school, but some were also from Middle School. You haven't looked at it since your mom died. You grab the book and sit back on your bed. Your hand is shaking a bit as you contemplate whether you should continue or not. Eventually, you build up the nerves to open it. The first picture is of you and your family. It even has your dog, Boney, who died not too long after the picture from old age. You and your family look so happy in the picture. As if nothing can take you guys down.

You then turn the page and see a happy picture of you and Ness. He has his arm around your neck and you're giving him bunny ears. You rub the picture with your thumb. You feel a tear form in your eye. You decide not to interrupt it and it falls down, hitting Ness's part in the picture. You miss those days. You really, really do. "Lucas?" You look up and see your brother, with a sympathetic face and your old clothes in his hand. He puts the clothes down and sits next to you, seeing the picture. "You miss him?" You nod your head. "Then talk to him, you won't get anywhere with him if you don't. You close the book. You don't know if you want to talk to him about this or not.

You decided to get nice and clean. You get off the bed and grab some spare clothes before leaving and entering the bathroom. You turn the shower on and wait a bit to wait for the water to heat up. You sit on the toilet as you wait. You just think about how the day will be. You're not very excited about the prospect of needing to go to school. While it is required by Ultimatum law, you still hate it.

The water finally heats to the perfect temperature. You stand up and undress before entering it. You just wash yourself like normal.

''I wonder if he's there....''

You shake your head, not wanting to think of anyone. You had a friend before your mom passed away. His name is Ness. He was your best friend, but after your mom died, and you kept to yourself, Ness couldn't bear it. He was feeling neglected and hated by you, and you don't blame him for feeling that way. After all, you wouldn't even look in his direction. Over time, Ness has grown a sort of disdain for you. He hates you. You both, however, still have happy memories together. That's what makes it hurt more. He hates you, you hate him, when once you two were inseparable. However, you still can't shake certain feelings for him, even if you still do hate him.

You wind up thinking too much whilst in the shower, causing Claus to softly knock. "Lucas, hurry up!!" You don't say anything and simply turn the shower off and step out, drying yourself. You look at yourself in the mirror and sigh. You dress in your newer clothes and step out. "Finally, what were you doing in there?"

"None of your business." You walk off, disregarding Claus's genuine concern for you. You grab a quick breakfast and go back to your room. You have a short amount of time left before you need to leave. So what should you do?

Your mother passed away not too long ago, and you're still trying to get over it. This has caused you to change. You became, to put it lightly, a loner. Even on your 18th birthday, you opted to stay in your room the entire time rather than do any conversing, not like you had any, to begin with, you didn't invite any friends over. Your brother, Claus, has tried to get you out of your mood, but nothing helped. But school is almost over. You don't have much time left, only one month. What should you do with that month? Well, that's up to you. Continue down your lonely path, or open up and become a better person. There are plenty of other options out there in the vast city of Ultimatum. Your journey through it...is just beginning. You are Lucas, the boy from nowhere....let's begin.

You decide to take him to the sunflower field, knowing he'd like that place more than the others by a long shot. You lead the boy you hope isn't peaking to the start of the field. The methodically and meticulously planted sunflowers were a sight to behold. Each row was the same as the next, all the same height, the same amount of petals around the bud, and the leaves attached to the stems. No sunflower stood out from the other, and that oddly seemed attractive and pleasurable to look at.

You take him further into the field. At the end of the field is a cliff that looked down at the ground of the plain field. It wasn't fenced off so you can't help but wonder if anyone has jumped off of here....or pushed someone off from here....it'd definitely kill them. You shake your head before turning to Lucas.

"Ok, you ready, Luke?"

"I've been ready."

"Ok, open your eyes." He opens his eyes, but of course, only sees you. "Turn around." Lucas does so and sees the large field of sunflowers.

"Woah..." He takes a step forward, his eyes shimmering at the sight of the sunflowers. He walks over to one and oggles it intently. "Y-you really brought me here?"

"Unless this is some elaborate dream, I think it's real." Lucas gave you a sweet little look before looking back at the sunflower. You walk forward and place a hand on his back. "It's wonderful isn't it?" Lucas looked back at you, his smile still placed on his face and his eyes still looking like it was looking at an utter dream.

"Thank you."

"Of course. Anything for you." You see him blush, causing him to look away and clear his throat. "Hey, what's wrong?" You know what's wrong, of course. You just want to tease him.

"N-nothing." You grab his chin and make him look at you, smiling at his blush.

"You're really cute, you know that?" That of course made his blush more apparent. You're also overcome with a feeling. A feeling to kiss him. You don't hesitate, and just lower your head and bring him into a kiss. Lucas loves it, you can tell because he wastes zero time to kiss you back. The two of you continue kissing in front of the sunflower and soon separate.

"Your lips feel nice." You giggle at the ease of him saying that.

"You really don't care about being caught saying such embarrassing stuff huh?"

"Not around you." His blushing grew more before smiling. He walked over to the little cliff and sat down. His feet dangling off the cliff. You decide to join him. "Ness...."

"Yeah?"

"You think there's someone in this city for me? Someone who'd love me?" You look out at the skyline of the city. The cliff was high enough to make some smaller buildings look really small. The distance was of course a big help in making buildings look small. Even if the day wasn't close to ending, with it only being a little past noon, the skyline was still beautiful. Ultimatum, not only being a melting pot of people living in it but also a melting point of buildings. Some were modern, some were urban, some were foresty, some were medieval, etc.

"Of course. I bet someone already does." Lucas turns toward you and smiles.

"You think so?"

"I know so." Of course, you're talking about yourself here. Lucas laid back, looking at the partly cloudy blue sky. He gave a happy sigh.

"Sounding confident there. How do I know you're not talking about yourself." You really do love his careless attitude, even when asking that, he's calm. He gets flustered, yes, but those are always few and far between. You lay down and "Accidentally" put your hand on his hand, also looking up at the sky. The warmness and softness of his hand felt great to you.

"What if I am talking about myself?" Lucas turned his head to look at you, his smile still plastered on his face.

"Heh, I guess you'd be nice to be more than friends with."

"You guess?" His smile disappeared before looking back up.

"And it'd be heaven....cause I do like you." You blush at him finally admitting it, but before you can admit your feelings, his phone rings. He sits up and answers it. It was Mega Man informing Lucas about finishing the set-up and invitations, and for them to come over. He looks at me. "S-sorry about that."

"No worries, I'm assuming the party is ready?"

"Yup, I guess it's time for us to go."

"Y-yeah."

You could go. Since you did promise. However, you may want to admit to Lucas about your feelings. This however will distract him from going to the party. If you do go to the party, it may allow some more unique interactions with Lucas. What will you do?

"I....I like him back. L-like a lot." You start feeling the heat in your cheeks, causing you to cover your cheeks. Claus then grabs your neck. You move your hands down and you stare into his eyes. You hear a sort of growling come from him. You two stare at each other, the only noise being the growling coming from him. After a decent amount of time, he lets go of your neck.

"Don't fucking hurt him. Understand that?"

"Y-yes."

"Good. Now have a good time with him. Oh...and there's this awesome sunflower field in Mii Park. Take him there." You smile before thanking him and running off. Lucas was on his phone, just doing some internet scrolling.

"Yo, Luke, I've got something to show you." Lucas looked up at you and smiled. He pocketed the smile and stood up.

"Wassup." You grab his hand, interlocking your fingers.

"Just follow me." You walk off, dragging him behind you. He blushes from you grabbing his hand.

"There's not much of me following with you dragging me, and all."

"Just deal with it, Lukey." You can hear Lucas giggle at the name, making your heart warm up a bit. Lucas was always easy to make giggle, but now, after verbally telling his brother you like him, it makes more of an impact on you. You want him to giggle some more.

You drag Lucas through Ultimatum and soon make it to Mii Park, which marked the direct center of the entire city of Ultimatum. This park was the biggest park in all of Ultimatum. It was a playground, a normal park, a water park, a nature reserve, among other things. Overall, Mii Park was one of the main attractions of Ultimatum. The park was big enough to need a sign. You looked at it and saw the various attractions the park held. Before Lucas could get a view of the sign, you cover his eyes. "Keep your eyes closed. I want it to be a surprise."

"Awww, ok." You look back at the sign and see the various attractions within the park.

Where do you take him? You could take him to the sunflower field Claus told you about. Lucas loves sunflowers, pretty much everyone knows that. But that's not the only location here. You could also take him to the zoo. Lucas likes animals quite a lot, especially snakes. Finally, there's the plain field mainly used for picnics. There are benches there that the two of you could relax in. It would disappoint him just a bit, but he would still enjoy being with you.

"Sounds like fun, I'm down," You say. You can tell by the look on Lucas's face that he really appreciates you going with him. Knowing him, he'd probably go even if you said no.

"Alright, sounds like a right-O plan if I say so myself. I'll prepare the party with Kumatora's help. Everyone else, just leave the building for a bit ok?" The group says ok.

You and Lucas walk out, making conversations with some of your other friends. Claus was waiting outside the house. His arms were crossed and his eyes fixated on Lucas. "Lucas, you forgot!" He said.

"Forgot what?" Lucas responded, genuinely confused.

"MOM!! She wanted us to visit for lunch. Remember?" Lucas looked down with a nervous chuckle.

"I-I guess I did forget."

"Where were you? Mom and Dad were so worried." Lucas looked at you and grew a small blush before looking back at Claus. Claus seemed to have taken a mental note of the fact Lucas was blushing right after looking at you.

"The poolhouse." Claus looked directly at you.

"Together?"

"Yup."

"Alone?"

"Yup."

"Right..." Claus walked up to you, grabbing your shirt and his red, almost evil-like eyes staring into your soul. "Before you leave for whatever you're doing....I need to have a chat with Fuckface here."

"You'll never get rid of that name for me huh?" You ask. Claus's eyes peered deeper into your soul, causing you to feel a shudder in your spin. You gulp. He then drags you off and to the side of the building. He throws you against the wall and growls. "Y-you wanted to talk to me?"

"Yes. It's about Lucas."

"Wh-what about him?" Claus's eyes were genuinely scary.

"I see the way he looks at you. He likes you. What do you think about him?"

"Wh-what?"

"DO YOU LIKE HIM BACK!!" If you say the wrong thing, you have no clue what Claus would do to you. He's prone to attack, he's prone to do damage, and if you say the wrong thing, he'd definitely do more than "Damage" to you.

You decide to finally have a proper kiss with the boy. You kiss back. The two of you kiss in privacy for a good while, showing just how passionate it is. It lasts for a while before either of you pull away. You smile.

"Look at you being daring."

"Hehe, I don't want to be left behind by the likes of you." You cross your arms and raise your eyebrows.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Then allow me to make it more challenging for you." You bring him into another kiss. He doesn't take long to kiss back. It also doesn't take long for the kiss to end. "Shall we continue swimming?"

"Gladly."

The two of you do just that. You continue swimming. After you start getting wrinkly you get into the locker room with him. You two change without much trouble. Lucas hands you the wet trunks.

"What?"

"Don't you want them back?"

"Meh, I dunno."

"They're yours."

"Just keep them, it's no big deal, I promise." Despite it being no big deal, Lucas was very thankful. He was taught to not take things for granted....even a free pair of swim trunks from the person he just got done kissing.

You both left the poolhouse and you look at Lucas. "When is this meeting?"

"Oh, not too long from now. Let's get going." Lucas grabs your hand, interlocking your fingers and practically dragging you back toward the house. However, you don't mind having your fingers interlocked. You like it actually. His hand is smooth and comfortable. It's also smaller than your own so your hand is overpowering his.

You both make it back to the house. Upon rushing in, you see Mega Man there. "Yo guys, the meeting is about to begin, let's get going."

"Not wasting any time huh?" You ask.

"You know me. Now let's get going." You and Lucas follow him. You make it to the room Mega Man led you to. The room looks overly official. Mega Man walked over and sat at the head of the meeting table right in front of the whiteboard. You and Lucas take your seats. Not everyone in the PK Boys was there. Just the two of you, Mega Man, Kumatora, Young Link, and Villager. "Welcome everyone, how are you guys doing?"

"What do you want, Mega Man?" Kumatora asked.

"Relax, Kumatora, it's a party."

"YAAAAAAY!!!!"

"What're you talking about?" Young Link asked.

"A party. Like....a party. I don't know how else I can explain it," Mega Man said.

"Is it like the cliche high school party?" Villager asked, now interested in the potential of the party he wanted to be a part of for all of his school life.

"Yes, that is ideal."

"Wow, didn't see you as the party type Mega Man," Young Link smirked.

"I'm not. But I at least wondered if you guys would like to just relax a bit and have fun."

"I LOVE THAT IDEA!!!" Kumatora yelled. The others quickly agreed to the idea. Lucas looked at you. He looked like he enjoyed the idea too. What do you do?

You smirk to yourself before closing the distance between your lips and his red cheek. The little kiss doesn't last long, but it's long enough for Lucas to react. He turns his head with a deeper shade in his cheeks. "N-Ness?"

"Yes?"

"D-did....did you just kiss me?"

"Nah, you're imagining things." You swim away a bit before splashing him with a decent way of water before swimming further out. The wave seems to have taken Lucas out of the state he was in and starts swimming out to you. When he gets close enough, because he is a better swimmer than you, he jumps forward and tackles you into the water. Under the water the two of you flip around for a bit, surrounded by the bubbles.

The two of you resurface with Lucas on top with a smile. "Did you think I'd just let you get away with splashing me?"

"Honestly, yes, you little pushover," Lucas growled a bit before bringing you in closer and growing a smirk.

"I'll show you pushover." Before long, he brings you into an actual kiss, directly on the lips. You definitely weren't expecting this. What should you do?"

But you can't pussy out now. You've made a decision. You start climbing up the ladder. It takes a good while before making it to the top. Due to all the climbing, it took quite a bit out of you. You're panting as you look down at Lucas, who now looks like an ant.

"YOU'RE CRAZY DUDE!!!" he yells up. He was right about that. You were indeed crazy. You decide to do a nice cannonball into the deep end of the pool. You hear Lucas's giggles be drowned out by the splashing. You open your eyes and see the little bubbles that formed from your splash. He swims upward and turns to see Lucas in the pool. "PANSY!!!!"

"Don't yell at me for not wanting to jump." You cross your arms and watch him as he swims over to your side. "You're just a risky mofo." You giggle at what he said. He's always been one to avoid saying curse words, for some reason. His twin says it's because "he's an innocent little bean".

"Me being risky? WHAT!!! NOOO!! I've never heard of that!!"

"Oh yeah? Let's test it!" Lucas leans his face in, not allowing much space between the two of you. His smirk, however, isn't allowing for blush. "I dare you to jump off of the high board!" Lucas points up at the very tall, and I as the narrator do mean this, VERY tall diving board. You follow the ladder that leads up to it and gulps. You are risky....but are you that risky?

You just HAVE to watch him change. You turn your head and see his soft member. You giggle at the size. While yes, it's still relatively average size, it's smaller than yours. You continue to stare. Soon enough, as you expected, Lucas spots you.

He jumps back before covering his member. You look up at his face and smile at his blushed face. "Wh-what're you doing, Ness!!"

"I'm just doing what you do."

"Th-that's.....I hate you!"

"No, you don't." You smile devilishly as Lucas crosses his arms, seemingly forgetting that he was covering up the one thing you were staring at. And of course, you go back to staring at it, making Lucas huff before turning around. "Nice ass."

"Ugh....dammit" He sighs before forgetting it and just getting his trunks on. You giggle, knowing just how flustered you made him. You get your trunks on and stretches.

"Ready?" Lucas adjusts the trunks and nods his head. You both walk out of the locker room and see the pool. It's not too full. There are only five people in there. They are all in the shallow end whereas there's not a single soul in the deep end.

"Alright, which side you want?"

Alright, if you're in the shallow end, it's slightly more crowded and so time may be ruined with Lucas, but it's also safer. In the deeper end, it's a little riskier but you're able to spend some proper alone time with the blonde. Which side will you pick?

"I'm just joking." You're not joking. You don't know if they're clean or not but you're going to give him the pair nonetheless. You scour through your drawers and soon find a nice red pair. You toss it to Lucas. "These'll do?"

"I guess."

"Well, let's get going then." The two of you walk out of the room and out of the building. The two of you walk pretty close together. Not too close, but closer than two friends would normally walk together.

It didn't take long for you two to make it to the pool house. The two of you enter the locker room. You struggle to not stare at the men in the room. However, you catch Lucas doing just that. He was never all that strong mentally. You giggle.

"You just love staring at dicks, don't ya?" Lucas jumps up and gulps.

"N-no. Never!"

"Right. Just got get changed you perv!" Lucas blushes before speed walking toward a random locker, not near anyone. You giggle as you catch up.
