"It's obviously the feet." Quickly pipes in Rose, the answer seeming clear as day to her and the opposite opinion doing nothing but annoy her. She moves around to one of the four legs of the table and while not quite as intricately laid as the surface, still keeping the same mystic feeling the rest of the decor emanates.

"We just have to get on our knees and well, kiss them I suppose." She continues her little speech though Anne takes this opportunity to laugh at the other girl before a short look from Rebecca changes her tune. Quickly she finds herself bent at the waist and contemplating just how to properly kiss the foot of a stone table.

Rebecca and Jasmin soon follow with each taking place at the remaining free table legs. The ridiculous of such an action is not lost on the girls, "Though that would be the whole idea." Voiced Rose, clearing her throat before laying a small kiss to the foot, a short speech following.

"Oh great Jesenda." Begins Rose, though quickly interrupted by Anne who in her normally cheeky style voices, "Who's bust towers over all."

"Oh great Jesenda." Rose tries again while darting a quick dirty glance over to the girl before continuing. "We worship this... well this table in reverence unto you. Please open the way forward for us to please you in person one day." She tries, closing her eyes as she hopes it works while also making her not look like a complete fool.

A pause, decidedly little happening before a slow and low groan comes from the door. The sound of rock scraping against rock filling the room as the door lifts from it's place. The passageway into the next room finally opening, it's bright light shining through to the girls, an omen for victory if they had ever seen one.

"Fucking nailed it."

"It's a door alright." Comes Anne's response, drawing on her razor sharp observational skills to correctly identify the door as such. The door stands three meters tall, larger than a normal door, but nothing to make one too suspicious. It is ornate in it's carving, the girls note the image of the made up goddess on either side, serpents filling the space not taken by her illustrious form.

"Looks the same as the other one." Rebecca points out, turning around to double check. Seeing not difference she turns back to it, studying it further. "Yeah, it's identical, I guess they ordered these things in bulk." She touches along the frame carefully, hoping to find a secret catch or something, nothing.

"I guess it has nothing to do with the door its self then. And here I thought this was going to be really easy." Rose, pushes her glasses further up her nose as she studies the door herself, agreeing that there is nothing special about this door, the goddesses don't even have legs, just a bust, a surprisingly large one at that. "Even the door has bigger breasts than me..." She muses to herself, slightly jealous of the stonework.

"To the table then I suppose." Comes Jasmine's simple answer as there doesn't seem to be much else to do here. She turns swiftly, taking couple of the steps required to reach the table, hopping up and bending over it to study the carvings. The rest of the girls look to each other for a moment, mutually agreeing and heading over to the table. "Yup." Says Anne, might as well get the last word in.

"Indeed." Says Rebecca.

"Damn..." Anne mumbles beneath her breath.

"It's a door alright." Comes Anne's response, drawing on her razor sharp observational skills to correctly identify the door as such. The door stands three meters tall, larger than a normal door, but nothing to make one too suspicious. Anne laughs almost immediately. "Well I'm game, but I don't think that would actually help us win, you know, the thing we came here to do. If I wanted to make out without the chance of getting my 'Ultimate Prize' I would have just stayed at home."

Rose looks to Rebecca, blushing slightly and staring at her lips, thinking that she would definitely like to at least try them out, kissing a girl couldn't be so bad, and she would probably have to do more than that to win the competition anyway. I mean, that is the whole point of this right, do new and exciting things, maybe she should just give it a go now...

"Just like we said, we can look to the table or the door really. That is assuming you can all keep your hands off each other. We're not even in a challenge yet!"

Anne and Jasmin slide off of the table, the other girls coming up to and scanning across its surface. It depicts a well endowed women with a glowing aura, "Jesenda." Rose offers. She is giving two gifts to a group of four girls, kneeling in front of her, bowing down to kiss her feet. The gifts are hard to make out, though they are clearly different from each other, symbolic perhaps.

Jasmine talks softly to the group. "So are we expected to receive a gift of some sort? Something to help open the door?" She looks around, trying to find anything else in the room that could be of importance. The room is one of cobbled stone, an ornate carved stone door at either end of the small square area, the table resting in it's center. "I don't really see any goddess for us to kiss the feet of though."

"Maybe it's more of a metaphor?" Offers Rose. "Maybe we need to do some sort of worship to her... the table has feet right? She said to use out brains, maybe we need to try something smart like that?" She looks proud at her idea, puffing out her chest and looking to Rebecca, hoping for some sort of praise from the girl who she is quickly liking more and more.

"Well she said to use your body too right?" Anne interjects, interrupting Roes's fantasies. "Maybe we're meant to kiss someones feet, like, in honor of Jesenda or something. At the very least to give a show to the watches." She winks slyly at a small camera in the corner of the room, knowing at least one person must have got a kick out of that.

"Cut that out Anne!" Says Rebecca, laughing gently. "We've only just started, don't need to go for crowd appeal quite yet." She smiles back over to Rose. "Well, group decision, what are we going to do? We can always just take a look at the door before we commit to something though."

"After this announcement the event will officially begin, some rules will be reiterated now before revealing the first challenge."

As the voice begins reciting the rules Rose mouths them out to herself, reading off her instruction guide. As she had been saying earlier, "There is no way I'm going to lose over some stupid technicality, plus if we know everything really well we might be able to abuse it."

"Everyone has their safe word, makes sure you use it if you are uncomfortable. Do note that failure in certain situations will lead to disqualification or penalty. The aim of this event is to reach Jesenda in the center of the temple to please her."

"I kind of like this whole, temple, goddess, spooky kind of thing they went for this year." Pipes in Anne. "I watched last years one, it was this weird wild west kind of thing. It just didn't mesh really well, you know what I'm saying? This is far cooler, sex-."

"Hush!" Whispers Rebecca over the top of her. "I'm trying to listen!"

"Progression is free, you can complete any challenge you can get to in any order you wish. Remember the temple is filled with secrets to discover to help you against the other teams. Remember the victory conditions though, you win as a team and as an individual. To win as a team simply get to the center and please Jesenda, to win as an individual you must collect certain items to complete certain riddles. There are a limited amount of these however and you are not allowed to take any item off someone else without either their permission or direct command from Jesenda herself."

"As we agreed, right girls?" Says Anne, bouncing on the table, not being able to sit still for even a moment. "We win together and share individual winnings." All the other girls nod earnestly.

"The first challenge is as such: The door will only open when all the conditions have been satisfied, look around, use your brains and your bodies to please Jesenda and you shall succeed. The event begins now!"

"Wait, is that lady meant to be Jesenda?" Questions Rose, all the girls turning to Rebecca, the natural choice in deciding what should be done next. She smiles gently, enjoying and excelling at being a leader. "Come on girls, lets-"

Noticing a large stone table and the opportunity to sit on something instead of being on her feet all day (not so much fun in flats like these) she hops up onto it, noticing the detail in the carvings as she settles her bright yellow dress.

"That's what the instructions say." A new voice fills the room, echoing slightly at it's hard walls, a person following with it. '''Rose''' taps the paper in emphasis, reading through a section. "The first announcement will come through, this is just an introduction for the spectators, a second will come through for contestants specifically, this will contain instructions for the first challenge and will mark the beginning of this years event." "See, what did I say?" Comes a booming voice from the back, '''Rebecca''' walking in, a good half foot taller than the other two. "We are going to win this so easily!" She cries out, laughing heartily. "Books and brains over there," she points to Rose jovially. "is going to keep our puzzle solving skills topped up." Rose smiles gently at this, blushing slightly perhaps. "Miss bounce-a-lot has enough energy to go all day." Anne salutes, grinning giddily and mouthing "Captain."
"And our last lovely lady to give us all something to look at." Rebecca winks cheekily at the door.

You head out of the Inn and down the main road, sun bright on your back. More people have started crowding the streets, though in this case 'more' seems to mean there are two more people than none at all. You nod politely and give a wave to them as you come upon the outside of the general store.

The store is a large old wooden building, set slightly off from the houses with the other specialty stores. Outside the building itself lie several large baskets full of produce or grain, most likely brought in from the farmers this morning. The front of the store holds the staples one would expect of one in this day, one large door, two large open windows (no glass however, after the storms it was agreed that thick shutters would be a better choice) and support columns for an awning.

Outside the store you see its owner Mrs Penbrock, a young lady in her late twenty's, average in every way except her lovely smile and undying work ethic. You notice her fumbling around for the key to the store.

While you do find yourself glad that Rose hasn't had to struggle through raiders or wild beasts or... something equally exciting, you are kind of disappointing in the lack of adventure and exploration a traveler sees these days, another reason why the big cities are obviously the best place to be.

The story The World's End is mine. I started it back in 2008/2007. I should have rights to edit the pages as I see fit. Someone that took the time to write one page does not have control over everything. Please let me have creative license over my work. It is not my intention to rip apart others contributions, but sometimes I need to clean things up and add some things to the story. Anyways, I don't think anyone else has contributed to my story for about three years, I don't think they will be mad if I change a few sentences or delete something so it makes more sense.

In regards to your last comment on my talk page, I just wanted to say that I respect that rampage is your story, and if you don't want me posting there, then just say the word; I will respect that.

I put up a couple of stories last night, one of which I found in a folder which I thought I had posted a long time ago, the other of which I wrote in a bit of a hurry. For that reason, I must have forgotten to make sure that they conformed to your preferred punctuation style, and I apologize for that.

In regard to your last comment on my talk page, allow me to say, "Thank you". You said everything I had hoped you would say, and I feel encouraged to keep writing, and to follow http://editthis.info/create_your_own_adventure/Punctuation_with_dialogue.

My academic background is in descriptive grammar, and I have since moved to work with editing, which is of course prescriptive, but I never work with fiction writing, so I haven't had cause to study use of punctuation in quotations before.

Sorry for the way i've been acting, i'm not trying to get banned. Sometimes I don't always think before I post due to my Aspberger's Syndrome, I was out of line with what I said before and I regret it. I appreciate you showing what I did wrong with my last entry, that really helped me. So i'm going to take your advice and try and start my own story, i'll consider myself lucky if I turn out to be even half as good of a writer as you are, i'll try not to make my grammar look too sloppy. Thank you for showing me how to add the category into the story, I was trying to do that, but gave up. turns out i was almost there :)
Anyway I was wondering if you could tell me how to make different lines in a single story merge.
In other words if one decision was made, how do I make the lines merge with a bit down the line decisions of a different set.
What I am getting at is that if you choose a path it may lead to being captured or death.
if you choose the other path one of the decisions in that path could have the same result.
So instead of retyping it, I want to know how to direct the page to that same ending, especially if I think that ending was writen well?

Platypus, question. I want to create a page in my story but not linked to my story where I can keep a log of where my links are and where they are broken.
I can probably do it on my PC, but I am editing from both home and work, so feel it would be easier if I can just have a link log or something where I keep track of my forks without having to go through it multiple times.

So, just checking. Do I seem to be doing fine right now? I know I occasionally post a long story in a link, then have no additional options and change the stuff in that link. I am just laying in the base for the branch I am working on, and will remove/add/edit/modify everything as I progress. Hmm, think I have a problem. Actually, what I am trying to do is this (Which you can see is a problem if you check the [[Dirty Me/Storyboard]]:

Then, I can create the page paths, so, for example, someone is reading through, then gets to a certain point and needs to leave, they can just go to the Storyboard, look up the path they see, and go directly to it. It seems nicer than the category page, so you can see what choices lead to what paths. I guess I saw Uman's, and liked it, but wanted to make the entire story path so you could just look up options quickly and decide where you want to go. But right now, my opening, with all paths shown until the end of it, is over 900 lines, which won't really be nice for anyone to use. Well, looks like no one has been able to find a way to create a collapsible table. I may blank it soon if we can't. Seems too awkward trying to use it without being able to do this.

I am wondering. I have been looking around this wiki, other wikis, features, pages, etc, and have noticed that overall, our front page is rather ugly, that there are additional tools that may be useful (For example, one had a "forum" area where things could be reported, or just discussions or whatever), and that overall it seems like some things need to be rethought. I don't really have any answers for these issues, but I was wondering if you have had any thoughts about all this. I am willing to help try to come up with some better things like the Copyright notice, maybe try to help a little with the grammar section, and the forums idea, but when it comes to trying to think of how to clean up the home page, or make some other useful pages, I have no idea where to even start. Just a little overwhelming I guess. Do you have any ideas for any of this? Okay, so, one thing I have gotten annoyed with is the image insert and 20 minutes. Is there any way I can take that image, then insert it back into the article so that it shows the skirt, instead of the user needing to click the link? Ok, now this is just ticking me off... When I have tried to put a pic in a new template, I insert the link, create my category, and only after I am sure my link is done do I submit. However, now (which didn't happen yesterday or the day before), it is popping up with a captcha box. So, I fill in the captcha box, and then get the message that I cannot insert an external link more than once per 20 minutes, effectively preventing me to insert a photo at all... Any idea why I suddenly have the captcha box popping up? It is preventing it completely D: Maybe since I have created a new link, the site has decided to verify me every time now? Yeah, and I think I made a mistake. I notice now when I try to put up a new pic template, it says linking has been disabled... I wrote a bug report, and explained what I was doing, why, and asked if it was my fault. Sadly, I learned that the hard way...I ended up on one of those revenge porn sites after I sent someone I was talking to online some pics of me...About three years ago I guess. The good part is, it was one of those sites the FBI ended up taking down (Not for me, but because some politicians daughter or something ended up on there). Ended up closing down my Facebook because of that. I still don't have a Facebook to this day, I just use my husbands. But...who knows where else my pic has ended up. <nowiki>*shrug*</nowiki>, I learned too many lessons the hard way D: However, I did learn, and because of everything, I am who I am now, and I am happy, so, I am grateful. To be honest, at first, it was just suppose to be an outfit or two, but rereading my discussion between me and Blackadder38, I thought about how men are more visual, and that it might help liven up the story more, especially after you mentioned how these are adult stories. However, I have been trying to keep it softcore still, and am not interested in hardcore. But, I have been thinking that, to be completely honest, I am not sure if I like the pictures in my stories like this. I may just remove them. I will need to think about it. Just a note, you might want to check [[Special:Contributions/SergeantC]], especially the pages like [[The Arizona Buzzsaw Butchery]], since it seems to turn the story into gore. I was thinking that since each category serves for a different audience, the number of alternate stories would surmount to the same number of categories. In essence, family-friendly for family-friendly, adult for adult, and so on. Thanks. Their disappearances probably mean that whoever enters the Pit can never come out. With that in mind, I'll be diving right in.
On to the flow of things: I've realized that many of these stories have various writing styles and voices. My question now is the limit on how far I can edit these stories without interrupting any status quo/ rules you've laid out? Or is the Pit simply open to any kind of editing no matter how harsh? I mean, they are pretty much abandoned (this is only referring to voice and style, not the context itself).

Hello! I was scrolling through the recent changes log as I tend to do daily, and I noticed you asked a question about frequency of updating a pagecount for your story, Machine of Magic. In all actuality, there isn't a strict rule (that I know of) as to how often it has to be updated, but there ''is'' a system function that will do it for you, the <nowiki>{{PAGESINCAT:<Story Name>}}</nowiki> function.

For example, I myself could take the time to type out the link and pagecount for one of my stories, Megan, but I could also have the wiki do it for me.

Without PAGESINCAT function:

[[Megan:Menu|Megan]] || 24 ||

With PAGESINCAT function:

[[Megan:Menu|Megan]] || {{PAGESINCAT:Megan}} ||

The difference isn't visible to anyone who isn't viewing the source (so you'll probably want to hit edit and view the source of this page if you're still confused), and the PAGESINCAT function handily and automatically updates the number for you every time you add a page, provided you continue to categorize your pages with the exact same syntax that you put into the PAGESINCAT function. I'm writing a story under the mature content rating and I would like some clarification as to what this community sees as 'adult' or 'mature'. I assume the difference is in the detail and the context of the action, but just how much detail is too much? While it's not an issue for me yet, there will be descriptive swordplay and implied sexual encounters in my story and I want to make sure I categorize the story correctly.

So yeah, what level of detail in sex, violence and themes is considered too much for a mature rating?

I would also like to mention that I tried to post this on the main pages talk page, but it appears is impossible to do so without butchering some guys links. When submitting it just brings me to a page saying you can only post 1 link every 20 minutes, even though I am not adding any new ones.

You head out for the day, assuming you won't be back until it is time to prepare the evening meal. The day turns out to be a good one, sun shining in the sky but not overly bright and birds singing into the wind. You pass a couple of people along the main street, greeted with a polite nod or a 'good day'. Salbany was not a large town, with only a handful of buildings on the only road going right on though but it was at least a polite one.

As you start to walk on, you see the carriages of the caravan parked some fifty meters off the main road. There were two horse drawn carriages in total, probably two families of roaming traders by the look of things. A small fire takes place as the center of the camp, with the two carriages parked around it, the horses roaming in a makeshift paddock.

As you approach, you see the auburn hair of a girl bobbing around in the back of a bunch of crates. Moving closer she looks up, half startled before seeing your non-threatening form casually walking over to her. An excited hand is stuck up, waving in the air. "Hello there!"

You drag the, now full, bucket back to Harold. It takes you significantly longer to walk back, but you attribute this to the extra weight of the water, you have always made sure to stay in shape and you wouldn't have it any other way. Placing the bucket around the back, you help Harold prepare breakfast for the customers. On today's menu; A vegetable and pig broth with crusted bread. "Always the same." you murmur to your self.

"We always make this because it's all we know how to do kiddo." The friendly giant smiles at you.

During the morning rush you pop in and out of the kitchen, carrying bowls of food and flagons of ale for your guests. The usual bunch are there, most of them blend into the background though. You see the Benson twins, a boy and a girl although that doesn't stop them from looking the same. Same brown shirt, brown pants. Same blue eyes and same blonde hair. You always wondered how their hair got so different from your own brown hair, but no one ever seems to know.

You also spot Old man Peters huddled in his coat, running his fingers through his gray beard, and Micheal, a farmer from one of the eastern farms.

After the morning rush has ended and only the few stragglers remain, Harold pulls you over and tells you about some errands that need to be done this week. "Should finish one of these off today."

"Just like the rest of this town," you muse to yourself. Salbany is a small farming town in the Siretide fiefdom, controlled by some fat baron in a castle to the south no doubt. This town is literally the most boring place on earth.

You trudge over to the well and lower your bucket in. A few moments later you feel the rope slack and you begin its ascension back to you. "I am now the proud owner of a bucket of water. Congratulations to me."
