He gets up off the floor and stares at you for a few moments, then speaks: "Not begging? I would have liked begging more, but I guess just asking me nicely will do... this time."

He takes off his belt, followed by his pants, and tosses them onto the floor nearby. Your eyes fall on his several-inch long erection, which he slowly is stroking with one of his hands. You decide to wait and see what he'll do next, and you don't have to wait long.

He grabs hold of your thighs and pushes them further apart, and then leans in and slides his tongue up the length your womanhood. You hear what sounds like him licking his lips, then seconds later feel his tongue flick against your 'button.' Another few seconds pass, then you feel his tongue flick against you again. On the third time, he suddenly takes it into his mouth and begins to gently suck on it, forcing a moan from your lips.

You decide not to resist any longer, you've wanted this from the beginning anyway... stalling only made you want it more.

To show him that you're letting him have his way, you part your legs. He needs no further invitation, and you feel his fingers plunge themselves into you. A soft moan escapes your lips, and you let your eyes close as his fingers slowly start to massage. His mouth continues to suck and lick on one of your nipples, while his other hand plays with your other nipple - giving gentle pinches between rubs. The fingers inside of you move in slow circles, though you aren't sure if the reason he seems to avoiding your more sensitive areas is because he's inept.. or doing it purposely.

He keeps this up for several minutes, and your need for release rises with each passing moment. You won't be getting it at this rate, he's just teasing you.

Finally, he pulls away and slips his hand out of your pants. A disappointed sigh escapes you, but you don't have time to say even a single word - he quickly leans into you for another kiss. You happily oblige him, even letting his probing tongue slip past your lips.

As his mouth works yours, his hands get to work on your pants. He grabs hold of them, to either side of you, and pulls them down. You squirm in his grasp, trying to help him get them off. You slowly reach a hand out from under the covers to press the "snooze" button on the top of your alarm clock, then grasp it with your hand and lift it slightly from the bedside table. You squint with tired eyes to see the time and manage to make out the numbers "6," "3," and "0."

"6," "3," and "0." ...

"6:30." Your mind puts the numbers together. It takes a few seconds but it finally hits you - You're late! You were supposed to have gotten up 30 minutes ago, as your shift starts at 6:30 today and you aren't even ready yet!

With a great heave, you toss the covers off you and onto the floor then leap from the bed to your feet. You make haste to your dresser-drawer and tear it open, quickly grabbing hold of several articles of clothing and tossing them onto the bed. Once you have finished gathering your work clothes, you scamper off toward the bathroom for a quick shave. There isn't time for a shower, so it will have to do. However, you slow to a halt as you spot something out of the corner of your eye - your calendar.

Diverting your course from the bathroom to the calendar, you pause in front of it and notice that all the days this month have a big red X over them. You must have forgotten to change it and since you are here, you take a corner of the lower page and flip it over to reveal... that today is the first of June, a Saturday, and today is your day off. At least, if the bold red lettering with a circle around it is to be believed. Did you just get up and rush to get ready for no reason?

Just to be certain, you slink over to the table near the door and snatch your watch up from beside your wallet. Your watch can not only can display the time but with the press of a button, also the current date. A quick press of said button confirms it. Today is Saturday, the 1st of June, the first day you had off from work in the past two weeks.

You glance back over to your bed, to the clothes you grabbed earlier: Well, now what?

==== Your Apartment, and Your Job... ====

The apartment you live in resides within a larger complex, housing 8 seperate apartments for each of it's 10 floors. It has three rooms: one a small bathroom, one a small kitchen, and the largest room is both the bedroom and living room. The bathroom has no actual bath and merely a shower stall, as overall it is too tiny to have a bath even if you could afford one. The kitchen is little but has just enough room for a fridge, oven, some counter space and a few cubboards to fit snugly. There isn't any room for a table, so most of the time you end up eating in your living room.

On the eastern side of your living room, situated vertically against the north wall, is your bed. It is a single spring mattress and sitting beside it is a small night stand. A lamp and alarm clock take up most of the little surface area it covers, and the drawer is usually holds little bits and bobs you need to keep handy. On the opposite side of of the room, is your couch with a coffee table set in front of it. On a wooden stand that is just big enough for it, is your 21" television with a built-in VHS. All your tapes are stuffed in the cubboards on the stand just below the TV.

Past that, your apartment is rather bare. You just don't have the money to afford anything else. You work a job that pays minimum wage and gives you just enough money to eat and pay off your apartment each month. Although moving is an option when you gather up enough money, your apartment is only a block away from your workplace so you have no need for a car... luckily.

==== The Mist... ====

The Mist is something that exists in this world, and possibly the next. At least, this is what you remember reading in an article some time ago. You can't recall what magazine, nor even why you'd read such a thing but that is rather irrelevant now anyway. You also recall that there is no known explanation for it and despite falling into the realms of the supernatural (for no better category), even experts on the subject disbelieve it's existence. It received it's name from the description of it, given by those who have experienced it.

You have yet to actually experience it, but you will. And in time, maybe you will even come to understand it.

==== The Day Before... ====

You had gotten home from work exhausted, yet again, and had to fight the urge to collapse on your bed and pass out for the rest of the day. The urge slowly rose as the day went on, but you managed to finish everything you needed to do at your home. By late evening, you were finally able to settle down on your couch with the television on, and a plate of dinner in your hands. A strange memory popped into your head as you ate, of an article that you had read some time ago, however you dismissed it as a random thought and went on about your dinner.

As the next day started to roll in, you settled into bed to sleep...

You decide not to resist any longer, you've wanted this from the beginning anyway... stalling only made you want it more.

To show him that you're letting him have his way, you part your legs. He needs no further invitation, and you feel his fingers plunge themselves into you. A soft moan escapes your lips, and you let your eyes close as his fingers slowly start to massage. His mouth continues to suck and lick on one of your nipples, while his other hand plays with your other nipple - giving gentle pinches between rubs. The fingers inside of you move in slow circles, though you aren't sure if the reason he seems to avoiding your more sensitive areas is because he's inept.. or doing it purposely.

He keeps this up for several minutes, and your need for release rises with each passing moment. You won't be getting it at this rate, he's just teasing you.

"Stop... " you say. He doesn't respond. You make sure to keep your legs pressed together, though you can feel him trying to squeeze his fingers inside you.

"Just stop!" This time, you say it in a more commanding tone. He takes notice and pulls away from you, giving you a look.

"Just... stop. Let me down, and get out of here."

"I thought you wanted this as much as I did?" He looks you over, you guess he's trying to judge if you have ulterior motives.

"I don't anymore. This is too much," you reply.

"Hmph. You shouldn't have started, then. What can you do to stop me?" He moves closer again, but you have an answer for him. An answer in the form of a swift kick to the groin, which sends him stumbling backwards while howling in pain. It takes him about a minute to recover enough to gradually raise his gaze to meet your own, his eyes full of anger and hate.

"You... Gnngh... Stupid bitch... " He gets out through clenched teeth, while pulling one of his hands away from his crotch and reaching behind him. He pushes his shirt up, grabs hold of something, and you find a knife in his hand when he brings it back around. You watch him slowly stretch back up, and know he's going to be trying to stab you with the knife. You get ready - when he comes close, you're going to nail him again.

You wait. You watch...

It happens quickly, and he lunges toward you. You go to kick but find yourself unable to bring your leg up, held by something wrapped around your thigh. You look down to see one of the translucent rungs holding both of your thighs to the wall, rendering you completely helpless! You don't even get a moment to think of something else, as the palm of his other hand connects with your chin and slams the back of your head into the wall. You feel cold steel slip across your neck, then he releases you - your chin falls to your chest, and a horrific sight falls into view. Blood... your blood, cascading down your naked flesh and to the floor. He slit your throat!

Oddly... it doesn't hurt.

There is nothing you can do to stop it, nor stop him. Despite your mind being focused on your impending death, you still notice his hands come into view at your waist. You see them take hold of your pants, and feel them starting to get tugged down and off you.

At least... you won't have to suffer through what you know he's going to do next to your body.

The result isn't entirely what you expected, as you feel his teeth painfully bite down on your nipple while his other fingers pinch that nipple between them. You cry out in pain, and even after he releases you and steps back - your nipples are ''still'' hurting.

"That was stupid of you. Very stupid." he says, you can see him reach behind his back while lifting his shirt slightly. You aren't sure what he is grabbing but you most certainly don't want him to get it. He's still fairly close, so you take aim and swing your foot...

"Sonofagoddamnbitch!!" he yells out, so quickly that it sounds like a single word. He stumbles backwards with his hands covering his crotch, your foot having firmly planted itself there seconds before.

He gradually tilts his head up to look at you, and you can see his eyes are filled with rage. He slowly unclasps one of his hands from his crotch, reaches behind him, and pulls out what he had been reaching for before - a knife. It takes him a minute to recover, then he comes at you with the knife. You go to kick him as he gets close, but find that now both of your thighs are held firm to the wall by more rungs... you're completely helpless!

You don't even get a moment to consider screaming, you just feel a hand push on your chin and slam the back of your head up against the wall, followed immediately by a piece of cold metal slipping across your neck. You take aim, then give the shirt a light toss toward him. He doesn't expect it and it lands on his head, covering his face. He stands there with the shirt on his head for a few seconds, then slides it off and balls it up himself. You have a pretty good idea what he might do with it, so when he finally does throw it back at you - your face, to be exact - you immediately react and put your hands up to catch it.

However, much to your surprise, he comes at you again immediately after he throws the shirt. You lower your hands from your face to block him from slamming into you, thereby slamming you into the wall, and the shirt lands on your head - obscuring your view. If falls off moments after but a few seconds is all he needed, and you find that he has grabbed your arms and forced them back against the wall. He holds them there as if you put your hands up while at gunpoint, pressing his mouth into yours in another forced kiss.

He holds you there in the kiss for what seems like a few minutes before he pulls back and releases your arms, but much to your surprise you can't lower them! You look up and notice that more translucent rungs are holding your arms to the wall, both at the wrist and elbow. While your attention is diverted, the man takes one of your nipples into his mouth and plays with the other using his fingers, forcing a surprised gasp from you... and a slight moan.

Once it's off, you toss it to the floor and move your hands to the buttons on your top, and you again slowly work your way down. As the last one comes open, you shrug your shoulders back and let the top edges of your shirt slip back over your shoulders - revealing your chest completely. The man's face changes to a more neutral look, and from the way he is rubbing the fingers of his left hand together... you guess he likes what he sees.

You take a moment to slip your arms free from the sleeves, then lean forward slightly to pull the shirt free from it's pinned place between your back and the wall. Balling it in your hands...

You slowly reach a hand out from under the covers to press the "snooze" button on the top of your alarm clock, then grasp it with your hand and lift it slightly from the bedside table. You squint with tired eyes to see the time and manage to make out the numbers "6," "3," and "0."

"6," "3," and "0." ...

"6:30." Your mind puts the numbers together. It takes a few seconds but it finally hits you - You're late! You were supposed to have gotten up 30 minutes ago, as your shift starts at 6:30 today and you aren't even ready yet!

With a great heave, you toss the covers off you and onto the floor then leap from the bed to your feet. You make haste to your dresser-drawer and tear it open, quickly grabbing hold of several articles of clothing and tossing them onto the bed. Once you have finished gathering your work clothes, you scamper off toward the bathroom to make yourself a little more presentable. There wasn't time for a shower, so it would have to do. However, you slow to a halt as you spot something out of the corner of your eye - your calendar.

Diverting your course from the bathroom to the calendar, you pause in front of it and notice that all the days this month have a big red X over them. You must have forgotten to change it and since you are here, you take a corner of the lower page and flip it over to reveal... that today is the first of June, a Saturday, and today is your day off. At least, if the bold red lettering with a circle around it is to be believed. Did you just get up and rush to get ready for no reason?

Just to be certain, you slink over to the table near the door and dive your hand into your purse. A little digging produces your watch which not only can display the time but with the press of a button, also the current date. A quick press of said button confirms it. Today is Saturday, the 1st of June, the first day you had off from work in the past two weeks.

You glance back over to your bed, to the clothes you laid out: Well, now what?

==== Your Apartment, and Your Job... ====

The apartment you live in resides within a larger complex, housing 8 seperate apartments for each of it's 10 floors. It has three rooms: one a small bathroom, one a small kitchen, and the largest room is both the bedroom and living room. The bathroom has no actual bath and merely a shower stall, as overall it is too tiny to have a bath even if you could afford one. The kitchen is little but has just enough room for a fridge, oven, some counter space and a few cubboards to fit snugly. There isn't any room for a table, so most of the time you end up eating in your living room.

On the eastern side of your living room, situated vertically against the north wall, is your bed. It is a single spring mattress and sitting beside it is a small night stand. A lamp and alarm clock take up most of the little surface area it covers, and the drawer is usually holds little bits and bobs you need to keep handy. On the opposite side of of the room, is your couch with a coffee table set in front of it. On a wooden stand that is just big enough for it, is your 21" television with a built-in VHS. All your tapes are stuffed in the cubboards on the stand just below the TV.

Past that, your apartment is rather bare. You just don't have the money to afford anything else. You work a job that pays minimum wage and gives you just enough money to eat and pay off your apartment each month. Although moving is an option when you gather up enough money, your apartment is only a block away from your workplace so you have no need for a car... luckily.

==== The Mist... ====

The Mist is something that exists in this world, and possibly the next. At least, this is what you remember reading in an article some time ago. You can't recall what magazine, nor even why you'd read such a thing but that is rather irrelevant now anyway. You also recall that there is no known explanation for it and despite falling into the realms of the supernatural (for no better category), even experts on the subject disbelieve it's existence. It received it's name from the description of it, given by those who have experienced it.

You have yet to actually experience it, but you will. And in time, maybe you will even come to understand it.

==== The Day Before... ====

You had gotten home from work exhausted, yet again, and had to fight the urge to collapse on your bed and pass out for the rest of the day. The urge slowly rose as the day went on, but you managed to finish everything you needed to do at your home. By late evening, you were finally able to settle down on your couch with the television on, and a plate of dinner in your hands. A strange memory popped into your head as you ate, of an article that you had read some time ago, however you dismissed it as a random thought and went on about your dinner.

As the next day started to roll in, you settled into bed to sleep...

The Mist is something that exists in this world, and possibly the next. At least, this is what you remember reading in an article some time ago. You can't recall what magazine, nor even why you'd read such a thing but that is rather irrelevant now anyway. You also recall that there is no known explanation for it and despite falling into the realms of the supernatural (for no better category), even experts on the subject disbelieve it's existence. It received it's name from the description of it, given by those who have experienced it.

You have yet to actually experience it, but you will. And in time, maybe you will even come to understand it.

==== The Day Before... ====

You had gotten home from work exhausted, yet again, and had to fight the urge to collapse on your bed and pass out for the rest of the day. The urge slowly rose as the day went on, but you managed to finish everything you needed to do at your home. By late evening, you were finally able to settle down on your couch with the television on, and a plate of dinner in your hands. A strange memory popped into your head as you ate, of an article that you had read some time ago, however you dismissed it as a random thought and went on about your dinner.

As the next day started to roll in, you settled into bed to sleep...

'''Condition:''' This represents your current condition. Most of the time this will be displayed as "Fine" however, certain things can change this. For example, if you take too much damage it may change to "Injured" or even "Critical" (near death.) In addition, if you are bitten by something poisonous, it'll read "Poisoned" to remind you why you are losing health with each passing moment.

The room falls into silence for a few minutes, with him just staring at you. You're about to speak up again when he slowly reaches up to the back of his head and grips either side of the mask. He partially pulls the mask up then hesitates - for several seconds - before pulling off the rest of it and letting it drop to the floor.

He isn't the most handsome man you've ever seen but he isn't too bad, either. He has a bit of stubble, a rather elongated chin, and cropped black hair. There are three marks on the left side of his face, on his cheek, which appear to be scratch marks caused by fingernails. The wound looks like it's healing, so it must have been done within the last week.

"Better?" he asks, pulling you from your thoughts.

"Yes. Thank you." Now to get back to what you were doing, it isn't likely that he will be taking no for an answer now.

"Isn't it obvious?" he replies and you shake your head no. He seems disappointed.

"A robber has been going around lately. Breaking into apartments whose keys have been in easy reach... on top of doors, and under mats. Most of the time the people in question aren't home and only smaller valuables are stolen... nothing big. However, have you heard of what happened to the people who had been home when he broke in? I'm going to guess... Mmm... No, you haven't. Am I right?" His voice has taken on a more calm, neutral tone. It's actually somewhat unnerving.

You nod your head in response. The bulletin on the first floor never mentioned anything about anyone being home during the robberies. In fact, each notice said that the people robbed were not home and the robber did not target people who were home.

"I thought not. Did you hear what happened to Sarah Mckinney?"

"They said she moved out," you reply, remembering the notice.

He chuckles. "What better way to avoid starting a panic? I killed Kimberly. It was a wonderful experience for the both of us, just like it will be a wonderful experience for me and you."

His gaze moves up and down your body, and you notice a bulge in his jeans...

You can hear the scraping of the metal wire on the underside of the door and let out a sigh of relief. It isn't going to be much longer now, or so it seems. Several minutes pass. He still hasn't opened the door and you can't help wondering if he has given up and left you.

You glance at your watch and notice that it reads 8:42. It shouldn't take him this long to open the door. A minute or two at most. You're about ready to start calling for help again when the sound of the door opening and closing alerts you to the fact that someone has entered your apartment. You lean to the side as best you can to get a good look at the entrance and what appears to be a man steps into view, and for some reason he is wearing a cheap-looking green alien mask. It looks like something fit for Halloween, made entirely of rubber and covering his entire head with the exception of his eyes.

Then you remember - the robberies! They were supposedly done by a man wearing a green rubber mask. You quickly look him over, trying to remember other details that were released. He checks out - the robber was about six feet tall, with an average build and you estimate that this man is about the same height and you guess he is about average. However he isn't wearing what the thief was reported wearing, and instead wears a pair of blue jeans, a long-sleeved black shirt and a pair of black gloves.

"When you called for help I thought it was something more serious," he says angrily. He takes a few long strides across your apartment and stops less than two meters away from you. From this close it is far easier to see his green eyes, you partially wish the notices had given a better description as his eyes could have been one of the better giveaways.

You decide to stay up, after all that rushing around you'd probably just end up laying in bed for an hour before getting up anyway. You put your watch on your wrist as you walk to your couch and slump down on it as soon as you can. It was too early to go out anywhere yet, nothing was open, so watching TV seems like a good way to pass time. Besides, it was also the only thing you really have for entertainment in this place.

The remote is on the back of the couch and you don't have any trouble grabbing it then using it to bring the TV to life. It is still the channel you had been watching a movie on a few days ago and as luck would have it, a new movie is just starting. You put the remote back in it's resting place and lay down, content to watch whatever was coming on.

...

An hour and a half passes and the movie is nearing it's climax when the power suddenly shuts off for no apparent reason. It doesn't stay out for long, about 10 minutes, but when it comes back on all the TV gives you is static. Turning it off and on, changing the channels, and even unplugging the cable wire and shoving it back in do nothing to remedy the situation.

Just before you can turn the TV off, you feel something cold touch your foot and you quickly step back out of surprise then look down to see what it is. On the floor you find a dark spot where your foot had been, like someone had spilled some water on the rug... in the exact shape of your foot. Odd.

The 'wire' doesn't budge and from the way it digs into your waist, you decide that pulling the wire off directly is the better idea. You reach down to your waist and squirm until you can slip your fingers between your waist and the object then try to push it away from your body.

The object is rather cool to the touch, though it feels like a piece of steel with how hard it is. If not for its appearance, it wouldn't be hard to believe it is a piece of steel as despite all your pushing, it isn't budging at all. You push until your muscles ache, then decide to give it a rest momentarily. You free your fingers from between the object and your body, and flex them a few times to overcome the cramping. As for what you do next...

You wrap your fingers around the 'wire' and give it a tug, but it doesn't budge. You figure just trying to pull it off won't work, so you press your palms against the wall on either side of your body and push as hard as you can. It doesn't seem to be coming loose but you can certainly feel it digging into your waist. To put a little more force on the object, you bend your left leg and press your foot to the wall, using that along with your hands to push even harder.

Not once do you even get a few centimeters, the 'wire' holds fast and keeps you pinned. You push as long as you can, until your muscles ache and you can no longer take the pain of it digging into your waist - but even that isn't enough, and you're forced to stop. You lean your head back against the wall, taking slow, deep breaths as you try to figure out what to do next.

You drop down on your knees with your eyes closed and clasp your hands together. You pray like you've never prayed before. You can feel the water quickly rising up your body, passing your waist, your breasts, to your neck - yet still, you pray. You may not have always had faith but right now seemed like a good time to have it.

You take a deep breath just before the water passes your lips and nose. You remain as you are and continue praying even after you're completely submerged.

Your prayers are not answered, however. As you finally run out of breath, you react quickly and swim as fast as you can toward the surface of the water, desperate for air. The surface never comes. You had been praying for so long that your apartment is now completely flooded and with no air whatsoever you don't even have a chance to try something else.

You fight as hard as you can yet you still can't stop what comes naturally. Your body forces you to breathe and you take in water, swallowing each and every bit of it.

It'd have been stupid to walk across broken glass with bare feet. Since your feet are now protected, you have no problem walking back over to the brick, across the glass, and picking it up. You can hear the glass cracking and breaking underneath you as you carefully free the piece of paper from the brick and unfold it with one hand.

It reads:

"Can you swim?"

The words are written in a blue pen. You wonder what it could mean, when your ears pick up the sound of rushing water. It sounds like it is coming from the outside somewhere and getting closer...

This must just be a dream, that's way too much of a coincidence. You give yourself a light pinch on your arm but you don't wake up. You may just not have pinched hard enough, so you try it again, only harder this time. It offers the same result: you are still standing in your living room, only now your arm hurts a little. Clearly, this wasn't working. You conclude that you aren't dreaming, are just in a very vivid dream, or you are sleeping too deeply for a simple pinch to wake you up.

Looking back at the wet spot, you reconsider your other options.

It's quick but you're positive you can outrun it. You break into a run to the other side of the room and it only takes you a few seconds to cross the distance to the far wall. You bring up your hands and use them to brace yourself as you come to a dead stop. The floor under your feet is no longer ice cold but you are hesitant to turn around, not knowing if the spot will still be there or not.

You work up your courage and slowly turn, your gaze focusing on where you remember the spot having been. It's not there. You slowly scan over the carpet, starting just past where the spot had been and slowly working your way down to your feet.

Nope, it isn't there. It isn't anywhere.

You take a step forward, intent on checking parts of the carpet you couldn't see from here (such as on the other side of the couch), when suddenly you feel something pull back heavily on your waist. It thrusts your back against the wall with an unbelievable amount of force, knocking the wind right out of you and causing pain to radiate across your entire back.

You glance down and see a translucent clear-blue 'wire' wrapped around your waist, pinning you against the wall. It appears to be made entirely out of water but it has the consistency of a solid rather than the liquid it should be.

You don't waste another minute. You scramble to stand up and drop the brick as rush toward the door. Once you reach the door, you turn the knob, but it doesn't go very far because the door is locked! You jiggle the knob back and forth and even look for a way to unlock it, but the only way you can see is the keyhole. It was like someone turned the door around!

You look back into your apartment and see that all of your remaining windows just smashed in, water gushing through where they had once been. The sheer amount of water is causing your apartment to flood quickly, if you can't get out then you'll drown for sure! You can only imagine what would have happened if you went in front of the window to look outside.

SttMF/Look for your keys

Keys, keys, keys...

You remember having put them in your purse so you snatch that off the nearby table. You pop it open and find that everything in your purse has been removed with the exception of your keys. There should be other things in there but now really isn't the time to dwell on it. You grab hold of the keys and turn to the door as you drop the purse. The keys fit into the lock without any trouble and turning them produces an audible click from the other side of the door to confirm your success in unlocking it.

You turn the handle and push forward on the door, only to have the handle get torn from your grasp by the water as it rushes out the new exit you've just created. The rushing water threatens to knock you off your feet and bring you with it, so you put a hand on either side of the door frame to keep stable. The water is draining quite quickly but not faster than it is coming in. You suddenly feel something strike your legs from behind. It knocks your feet out from under you and you fall backwards into the water, getting rushed out the door before you have a chance to grab hold of anything else.

Once out the door, you start falling straight down. You look up and can see the doorway to your apartment but it rapidly disappears from sight, leaving you here in some sort of black void. There is no people, buildings, or even light considering you can't even see your hands in front of your face.

You fall feet first into a body of water and the speed of your fall sends you right under. You immediately start swimming upward, toward where the surface should be but it doesn't seem to be there. You swim, and swim, and swim, yet you don't surface. You swim until your air runs out and your body forces you to take a breath, only to make you take in a mouth full of water which you're forced to swallow. You can feel your insides rapidly filling up with water and you're unable to stop yourself from letting it all in.

You get up from the floor and make your way over to one of the windows. There is nothing outside, literally, as through the window the only thing you can see is darkness. No outlines of buildings, no lights, it is as if your window is the gateway to a black void where nothing exists.

But then something must exist here, because you can hear it - the rushing water. It is quite loud now and sounds like it is just outside the window, you just can't see it. It has getting louder since the first moment you heard it. It is most certainly...

Closer...

You don't even have time to react as a torrent of water bursts through the window you are standing by, slamming right into you and knocking you off your feet. The brick slips from your hand as you are pushed to the far end of your apartment and hit the wall ''hard.'' From your position, you can see - and hear - several more rushing streams of water bursting through all the windows of your apartment.

The water is quickly filling the room. If you don't get out then you'll drown for sure!
