You're intrigued by Tina's story, and her smile is so warming.

"What happened, sweetie?" you say, and you know immediately this was the right thing to ask. Her smile disappears, but her eyes light up, as if she has really wanted to tell someone all day.

"Well . . ." She seems a bit uncomfortable as she tries to start.

"Tina, I don't judge," you say. "Besides," you giggle, "you've already seen my copy of the movie Intimate Secrets!"

Mentioning one of your lesbian porn movies, and the embarassment of her having seen that you own it, seems to do the trick.

"Well, I'm on the volleyball team here," Tina begins. "I'm a freshman, and I'm a starter."

That explains her well-defined body, and her choice of leisure-wear. She's probably most at home in work-out gear, and you can't really complain.

"Coach Stewart has one of the best programs in the country, and I was lucky to get a position, let alone a scholarship to come play."

You nod patiently, smiling sympathetically, but uncertain why this would all be considered a bad thing. Tina licks her lips, and you try to keep your focus on her story, and not on wondering what that little bit of pink would taste like against your tongue.

"And I'd talked it over with Aimee, and we both agreed to come here. But for the past week, she's been acting very strange. Then yesterday, when we were supposed to be packing up to leave together, she didn't show up. I tried to call her . . . I must have left a dozen messages . . . and then this morning, right before I had to leave, her little brother showed up with a letter."

Tina looks into your eyes and you see tears forming in the corners of hers.

"She broke up with me!" Tina wails, and suddenly your arms are filled with Tina. She's sobbing against your shoulder, and all you can do is pat her back and whisper that it's okay. You stroke her beautiful red hair, running your fingers through its softness. Her own arms hold your shoulders, and you're very keenly aware that her face is smashed against your left breast.

After a little while, Tina pulls herself back, and looks at you.

"I'm so sorry," she says. "I didn't mean to lay all that on you. It's just been a helluva day."

"That's okay," you reply. "What are roomies for?"

You reach out one finger and brush the tears from Tina's face. She smiles with each touch, and you're amazed at how easily that smile lights up the room. Even though she's been crying for a good ten minutes, and perhaps most of the day, her eyes aren't red-rimmed at all. In fact, she looks quite radiant to you.

"So you see, I totally owe you. Seriously!"

Her smile is so warm, her hand in yours feels right, and her hand resting on your knee is too exciting not to take her offer.
