Strike! Strike! Over and over again, Betamon's fins hit against your Koromon. You cannot stand it any longer! However, something in your heart tells you not to act recklessly. You concentrate as hard as you can, and when you sees the chance, the right opportunity, you jump in fast and leaps out of the way just as quick.
It is a close one. You jumped in at a moment when 'Betamon's' fins were still in contact with Koromon's skin. Fortunately, by that time, it was about to retract away already, even if it involves a difference of milliseconds.
"Lovely... Attack!" a voice calls out.
You spin your head around, away from the mutant Betamon who, though was charging towards you when you snatched Koromon away, is startled as well by the booming voice that echos throughout the street. A horde of cyan-colored, bubbly hearts float their way towards you! You quickly duck out of the way, and so did Betamon. Nevertheless, it is not as lucky as you. One of the balloon-like hearts manages to trap it within its seemingly tender but truthfully resilient texture.
As you watch the Betamon-mimic floats away into the sky, you see that behind the cloud of bubbles is Monzaemon, rushing over on its cuddly cotton feet.
"Monzaemon!" you cheerfully yell while securing Koromon in your arms.
And you run into the security of Monzaemon's arms. You smile as it hugs you. Those gentle arms feel warm and nice.

After the commotions are over, the uniquely-looking Betamon is lectured and sent away. When it is asked of its mutation by Monzaemon, however, it simply shrugs, having a lack of answers.
"Sorry about your Koromon, Taiyou," says Monzaemon after Betamon departs. "Follow me. I will get your Koromon mend... I mean, heal up again."
