She didn't take it hard - she gave you a peck on the cheek and her number in case you ever needed any advice or help. You're glad that all worked out okay but now you were slightly tipsy and a bit of an emotional roller coaster. Maybe you should have called a cab but the thought never crossed your mind - you are back home. The unit is Dark and quiet; Maxwell must be out somewhere. You silently make your way to your room.
It's a cozy little place. There isn't much personality to it: some posters, a queen-sized bed, an armoire and that is about it. But this is your private sanctuary and it is a place you can always enjoy to yourself. You flop down on your bed and look at your lotion on the dresser next to you.
