SEVERAL DAYS LATER:
You open your eyes. It is dark. There are several sleeping forms beside you. You see your mother- a long-furred gray she-cat- curled around four sleeping forms. Two gray and two brown toms. It takes you a moment ot realize that these are your brothers. Across the nursery, you see another gray queen wrapped around a cream she-kit and a ginger tom. They look huge compared to you.
