The next day passes largely without incident. You were able to find everything you were looking for, and you're looking forward to Emily's reaction when she sees them.
A few seconds before the time Emily entered your room the previous night, you hear a knock on the door. You open it and find Emily standing there, shivering and looking afraid. She's wearing a baggy T-shirt and jeans several sizes too large for her, held up by a belt.
"I--I wanted to say I won't do this," she says hesitantly.
"Come inside," you tell her.

"Come inside now," you snap. She runs into your room, then stops at the foot of your bed, turning pale, looking horrified by her own reflexive obedience. You close and lock the door behind her.
