Well, new students aren't that exciting, I know. In fact, I'm surprised you haven't left to learn another story. But, if you've stuck around this long, you might as well stay for awhile. Choices are coming up soon.

I actually kind of feel bad for this student. Whoever it is, he or she is gonna have to get used to us. My homeroom is almost all sophomores, except for a few juniors. And I think this new student is supposed to be a freshman, from what I've heard.

But, anyways. In she comes.

"Class," My homeroom teacher, Mr. Bale, announces, "I'd like you all to meet our new student, Sophia Allen. She's just starting high school and I know you will all make her feel right at home."

Okay, stop right there. I just want to say, I feel sorry for those of you following the story. You don't get to see what this girl looks like. I'm not good with compliments, but I'll try to describe her as best I can.

So, she's small, first of all. Not a midget, just short and skinny. Maybe around 5'5" or something like that. Her hair's a nice, shiny brown that's straight on the top of her head and slowly turns wavy as it flows down her head. She's not wearing any makeup, which is weird at a school like this because all girls wear makeup. Her hair's short, too. Not really short, just to the shoulders. She's got a bright white t-shirt on with a little, green sleeveless jacket. And she's got some regular jeans and some cute, pink shoes. I wish I could wear such nice shoes, but I'd break them in seconds.

The most amazing part about her, though, is her eyes. She has blue eyes, bright blue eyes. And even though she was expressionless, you could tell she was nervous from the way her eyes looked at us. But, I'm getting off track, back to the story.

"Well, Sophia? Is there anything you'd like to say to the class before I say the announcements?" Mr. Bale asks.

Sophia just shakes her head.

"Alright, you can take that seat in front of Nick."

Damn it. Sorry for the language, but it really sucks that she's sitting in front of me. I don't mind looking at the back of her head, but the second she sits down and looks up at Mr. Bale, I suddenly long to see those eyes again.

That's when something else strikes me. This girl smells sweet. Something like cinnamon and marshmallows. Yeah, that's it. I wonder what perfume she wears, unless it's her natural scent. Or maybe it's a deodorant. I want to smell like that now, because I'm starting to get addicted to it.

So, Mr. Bale reads off the announcements and then homeroom ends. I have my first class with Mr. Bale in this seat, and apparently Sophia does, too, since she isn't moving from her spot.

Okay, remember how I said I felt bad for this student? Well, I'm going to help her feel more comfortable in this school, before some druggies come around and teach her "their ways".

But, what do I say to her?

AAL: "Hey, how are you?"

AAL: "Can I borrow a pencil?"

AAL: Say Nothing
