It is warm inside the tank. You are woken in the middle of the night by the sounds of animals howling and are grateful for the protection of the metal tank walks. You try to get as much sleep as you can, even though you are not at all tired. In the morning you find tracks outside the tank. You shiver as you think what the consequences might have been if you hadn't had such useful protection. You wonder what you should do today.
