The rooster crows. Rather, your phone's alarm wakes you up at 5 am, but the annoyance is just as strong. You wake up in your apartment in Vortex City, which is as big, if not bigger than The Big Apple.
This is the island nation of Ortega, which, despite its name, is not located in Latin America, but in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Ortega was magically raised by an unconfirmed party, who wished independence from foreign governments. Not long after, all those with similar interests flooded Ortega. Drug dealers, magicians, witches, pirates, gangsters, and other assortments of undesirables and deviants. That's not to mean that there aren't good people here. You, have so far, considered yourself one such person (more or less).
