Patrick was the anti-social, skinny pale kid nobody wanted to be friends with in high school. Most other girls thought he was really creepy, but you felt bad for him and invited him to sit with you at lunch one time. He followed you around since then and said you two were best friends, you didn't have the heart to tell him that you had other friends besides him. He was never really good at making social connections with any other people besides you. Even though he went to a community college, you knew he kept track of you because he would "like" your Facebook posts or post threatening comments at anyone who disagreed with you, even if you were just having a playful back-and-forth with the other person. Anyways, you knew he had a knack for computers and other technology stuff. Maybe those skills can come in handy for your current predicament. You decide to look him up in your old school directory and call him up.

"Alexis! Hey! It's been a long time!" His voice sounds almost too thrilled, even crackling a bit. And you thought it was kind of weird that he knew it was you right away. You could have sworn you had a different phone number from high school.

Patrick was the anti-social, skinny pale kid nobody wanted to be friends with in high school. Most other girls thought he was really creepy, but you felt bad for him and invited him to sit with you at lunch one time. He followed you around since then and said you two were best friends. You didn't have the heart to tell him that you had other friends besides him. He was never really good at making social connections with any other people besides you. Even though he went to a community college, you knew he kept track of you because he would "like" your Facebook posts or write threatening comments at anyone who disagreed with you, even if you were just having a playful back-and-forth with the other person.

"Hey, Patrick! How are you?" You replied casually, trying not to sound too awkward.

"I'm good! I'm good! So good to hear from you! What's up?" Now his trembling voice is almost at a shriek, forcing you to take the phone away from your ear.

"Umm...I kind of have a favor to ask..." You said sheepishly, trying not to sound desperate.

"Uh huh! Of course! Anything you need."

"Well, I have this job offer..."

"Uh huh! Uh huh!"

"But...it's a position intended for a male candidate. And...I made them think I'm a guy. So...now I'm kind of not sure what to do..."

The other end suddenly went silent. You can only hear heavy, excited breathing from Patrick.

"Hello? Patrick? Are you listening?"

"Ah! Yes! Yes! I think I know what we can do!"

"Really! Awesome! You're the best!" You felt like giving him a big hug.

"But...I have a favor to ask you too."

"Umm...okay. What is it?"

"Can't tell you now." His excited voice suddenly got really low, almost to a whisper. You can hear his heavy breathing again. "We have to meet in person first. I can send you an address for our meeting place."
