Welcome to the ever-so-wonderful world of 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons: Forgotten Realms!
Many of the stories will begin in or around the City of Splendors, Waterdeep, the largest and most prosperous city state in Faerûn. Faerûn is the continent that the Forgotten Realms setting focuses on.
We'll stick to a fairly slim list, only choosing sex, races, and the classes provided by the Forgotten Realms Player's Handbook. It would get way too complicated if we went much deeper than that.
