You finally reach the register and hand your credit card to the register clerk. He swipes it. The register beeps. He swipes it again. It beeps again.

“I’m sorry, ma’am,” he says. “It isn’t accepting your card. Do you have any alternate means of payment available?”

Do you:

• Hop over the counter and suck him off
• Tell him to buy it for you and you’ll meet him at his place to pick it up
• Get pissed off and make a scene
