You banish the thought from your mind. ''There's nobody around. It's 8:50 am, everyone is in class.''

You splash hot water from the sink on your face a second time, and turn off the facet. You take a deep, calming breath, and step back out into the world of sunlight.

The warmth is reassuring. You hardly get to enjoy it though, because the light of the sun starts to dim. Panicking, you search the sky for that comforting light, even though you know you shouldn't.

The sky turns black. The sun goes dark along with it, minus even the ring of light that comes with an eclipse. ''This isn't natural.''

A cold breeze hits the back of your neck, giving you goosebumbs. The air starts to become heavy, and you breathe it in short, ragged gasps.

The blood in your veins feels icy. Your heart starts pumping faster.

As suddenly as it began, the color returns to the world, and your body is warm again.
